Default Help With Using GPWA (Content Writer)

    Hey everyone,

I hope this is the correct forum to post in - if not, please feel free to remove!

I'm a UK-based content writer, who specializes in the online gambling/casino industry - and while I have a small number of great clients, I'd like to take on a bit more work, as I continue to shift into doing this full time...

Which brings me to this post! I see there's a 'Marketing Offers' part of the forum, but obviously, I'm unable to post there, due to my account age (or lack of posts.)

I do, however, see something about becoming a premium member - but I had a look around, and can't see a way to join/pay?

Just wondering if anyone could help me understand what it is I need to do exactly to post an offer in that sub-forum - or, if there's somewhere else to post my content services here (and if there's any fees I need to pay, etc, to do so!)

Thanks in advance for any help!

    Alex

    Great, thank you Rick.

I typically focus on game reviews (mainly slots), and in-depth casino reviews. Although I have experience in most online gambling topics - but those are perhaps my 'go-to' topics!

    Thanks,

    Alex

    Hey everyone,

I didn't want to start a new thread as I had already started this one - I was just wondering if anyone had any good ideas on where to advertise my writing services/find potential clients who are looking for writers? I'm happy to write on any gambling-related content, so struggling to find the clients right now!

    Thank you,

    Alex

After reading this thread I had requested a few articles from Alex to get an idea about quality and all was fine and delivered.

Asked him if he could deliver more frequent and on a regular base, which according to himself he could. So we agreed on a price. As I do understand reluctance for writers to do bulk without guarantees, as it is always difficult to built trust in this industry, I decide to pay him €344 upfront.

    Shouldn't have done so:

12 days after payment sent and four times receiving lousy excuses and promising content would be delivered, this weekend, tomorrow, tonight, this afternoon/evening nothing has been received.

    Just be warned.

Unfortunately, the same thing happened to me with Alex. He had written work for me for a couple of months and it was delivered fine. I assigned him a a job worth around 270 to me and sent him the money (rookie mistake from me). He said he would do it in a week. The day before I was due to receive the work I spoke to him and he said it was on course to be completed.

I am now three weeks down the line and he has not sent the work, or a refund and is ghosting me on Skype. Unfortunately, I didn't see your post Affy, as I wouldn't have gave him money in advance. I only came across it as I was trying to track him down.

Maybe it's just me, but I never ever pay for content before it has been delivered.

What's the rationale for writers to not agree to a bulk order without guarantees? Isn't a bulk order like the dream for a freelance content writer?

For new people I usually just pay per each article for the first dozen until we get to know each other and then agree on bigger batches.

I understand there's a risk for both parties (not getting delivered the work / not getting paid for the work).
So just do it step-by-step up to a value of work both sides are comfortable with, and as suggested by Eddie, increase the batch size over time.
