good luck to you, adult and casino very very different...

Some will not allow you to, is best to ask....

web hosting companies hard ot suggest without knowing what you do, and what you need.

    hi

i'm doing my research, before setting up

i do use seo on my adult sites. submit them on directory sites and topsites, link trades, etc.

i noticed that some sites are either casino site reviews or blogs

how does an average affiliate marketer get started?

what does he/she usually do on his/her day to day activity?

    thanks

    Welcome haissem_o,

Here are some rules for private/seal membership at gpwa:

An investigative team headed by GPWA's Fair Gaming Advocate has determined that this site:
Is managed independently of the online gambling websites it provides information about or promotes.
    Respects and upholds copyright standards.
    Does not send spam email.
Does not use malicious search engine optimization techniques such as posting spam-like comments in forums and interactive blogs.
Does not promote or display pornography.
Provides consumers with information extending beyond banner advertisements and links.
Acts professionally and respectfully in its business activities.
I don't think most programs allow porn. Maybe consider a whole separate casino business that is not linked to porn.

    Best of luck.

Almost all trusted gambling affiliate programs do not allow to promote their brands on adult sites.

yes, you will have to start a new site without adult material. The profiles of your potential player differ greatly from the adult content subscriber. You will have to reach an entirely different market. Once you get started you'll see what I mean.

Good luck, and starting your research at GPWA was a smart move.

I forsee a problem if you don't mind me saying so. Your whois will also show porn sites. I am not sure that as a business person you can mix the two, even if you do separate them.

The best strategy would be to do gaming sites under a different brand/ "doing business as name." There will be no significant business benefit to running both types of sites under the same brand name and potentially significant disadvantages to doing so as outlined here. And if you reflect that split with separate dba identities in whois then the separation should be complete enough to prevent issues that might otherwise challenge success in the iGaming affiliate business.

One other thing to mention is that the reality of the difference in markets here is reflected by the fact that the limited operator attempts to mix the two have not worked well. The only site that played to this general theme at all that was somewhat successful was playboycasino.com, but that site shut down on the 28th of January 2009. And that site was on the very soft side of the adult industry.

There was a poll done here on member's thoughts about the playboy casino some time ago that gives you a flavor of some folks thoughts on this general topic: www.gpwa.org/forum/ok-promote-casinos-mix-adult-entertainment-gambling-171236.html.

The perception that I have personally had to deal with is that many general webmasters group "porn" and "gambling" in the same neighborhood. It makes it difficult to interface with them due to the erroneous perception. Don't get me wrong. I have nothing against the adult industry. I don't know about the adult side of things, but I am sure that they can be just as professional and honest.

Gambling faces political challenges that the adult industry does not have to face.

Some affiliate programs offer reviews of their casinos, but it's not enough for a site. You should write your content by yourself or hire a content writer.

Would also promoting adult sites, as well as gambling ones, be a block to obtaining the GPWA approval seal/private membership? Assuming the sites were kept completely separate, no mixing of content?

There is not a problem as long as the sites are kept seperate and there is not cross linking done.

If/when you qualify (time wise etc) it wouldn't hurt to include details that you also have adult sites, but there are other members here that have been promoting adult sites.

Aksana is right. You should either hire or create your contents for your website. In some webmaster and SEM forum, you can actually hire or buy a made-to-order articles or contents for a specific topic. If you have no time to make one, you can always refer to them.
