Default High Roller Wiping Me Out Every Month

    Hi Guys

Has anyone else had this problem with Bet 365 or other affiliates who have a negative roller? I have steadily built up a player base over last few years only for the last few months a player has come along and completely cleaned me out. Last month was the first time I had a payment in three months however this month is now at its highest minus ever and I can not see how I am supposed to earn with them again. This has also happened to me at Boylesports where I have a staggering negative balance of over 7K and that has not moved in months.

I know its hard luck but does seem a bit harsh that all those years work are taking away just like that. Of course the answer going forward is not to use anyone who has negative rollover however Bet 365 are actually one of my favourite affiliates with the exception of this term of course. I have contacted them however I am not holding out on a positive reply.

    Thanks

7k is not a lot... I have had 250k+ negatives before with other programs, it's unlucky but it happens that's why i always push a few good programs

IF you have a good relationship with your affiliate manager ask them to move or ring fence the player.

You should always spread the risk of this happening by sending players to a few programs and if you can work it equally between them then so much the better.

Like Wonderpunter, I had a player win 350k with a nco program. I got them moved into their own account so I could continue promoting them. If they hadn't I would have stopped sending them players. Remember you are running a business.

Yeah it may not be a lot in comparison but to me it is a lot. I am only a small affiliate who is able to push a limited amount of traffic so when my Boylesports players are betting £10 a weekend there is no chance me getting it back so have given up with them. Hopefully Bet 365 give a satisfactory response.

I hate it when that happens. The only thing one can do would be to give other programs (esp. programs with no negative carryovers) more exposure.

Do you definitely know it's one player? Just wondering how you know that info based on the fairly limited Bet365 stats system?

When I have a bad negative it tends to be due to everyone getting their accumulators up on really predictable sets of football results.

Still no luck with this. Since I last updated my stats for February have doubled the wrong way and that negative balance is getting pretty big now.

RacingJim I can not confirm whether it is one player it could be one or a handful. I highly doubt it is due to the fact that as Bet 365 say is because of all the favourites winning. I have noticed trends over the last few months where deposits have gotten significantly larger each day which coincide with the large losses as well. Yes there is the potential of that / those players losing larger amounts also however that has not happened very much at all in months so they have clearly got some sort of system that is paying off for them. Would love to meet them to see what they are doing lol.

Bet 365 have got back to me by the way and may be willing to work something out on a cpa kind of deal but my new depositor numbers are quite low so doubt it would benefit me much at all. Looks like it may just be tough luck I think which would be a shame because for me Bet365 have been by far the best affiliate I have worked with even with the negative rollover. 2nd best affiliate was Sky Bet and we all know what happened there. Slowly but surely all the hard work over the years is getting taken away and it sucks!

    Thats a shame that.

I was not aware that bet365 operated a negative carry over ( I really need to start reading those books they call "terms" on websites when signing up ). I think I will scale back my Bet365 promotions now, I had just bumped them up on 3 of my websites!

With regards to being wiped out by big winners I stopped pushing gamesys affiliates for this reason. I used to get wiped out on the last day of the month. It was crazy, in fact it happened last month again. I think its happened about 5-6 times in about 8-9 months. I dont push them anymore but still get the odd payment now and then which is always paltry compared to what I sent them.

Im learning to avoid these companies like the plague! Bet Victor have recently updated their terms too, I will be removing them now

Yes that was happening to me with Bet 365 for quite some time always the last day of the month which I thought was a bit too convenient. Now its every other day lol.

Tbh you should talk to bet365 again. Unlike many other brands, who'd tell you that's not their problem, bet365 will try to work something out in your benefit so you continue to promote them.

I used to have prolonged periods in the negative 5 digits, but i think it evens out with a bigger playerbase. Bet365 has ALWAYS had negative carryover, which isn't necessarily bad or evil, it's just a healthy business model.

In terms of conversion & retention, I highly doubt you'd find a better brand when it comes to sports betting if you are in that niche. I too had the will to drop them, back then but Eddie up there, convinced me to hang on and power through it. I'm glad I did it.

Of course these are your businesses, you guys can do as you chose, im merely giving you my point of view based on experience and coming from where you are at now.

Every other day! You should start pushing offers to your affiliates offering them gauranteed wins via your link at Bet365 lol. Sign up hundreds and put them out of business

Yeah they are pretty good however I would say that I am not in an ideal position to negotiate with them. Even if I push very hard I can probably only get a handful of new depositors a month so of course it has to be worth their while. Still waiting to hear back from them though so hopefully I will get some positive news.

Yeah lol. For me it kind of goes something like Monday £123 Tuesday -£634 Wednesday £84 Thursday -£978. In February exactly half of my days were negative amounts and pretty big ones to. Whatever these customers are doing is clearly working well for them. Just a shame I can not meet them lol.

that sucks. I know how you feel. I have had some luck in the past getting affiliate programs to remove negatve carryover. You would be surprised at how often affiliate managers are willing to work with you on this

Bet365 is great if you can send a certain volume of players, as the negative carryover really doesn't become a factor past a certain amount of players, especially if you can get a wider spread of players from different countries and who bet on different things.

If I was a lower volume affiliate I'd probably only really push no neg carryover programs and just have Bet365 a little more in the background. Negative carryover is always one of those things that can come and bite you in the ass. I've pretty much given up on Will Hill cos of this as I can't get enough signups to make it go away and they're crooks anyway.
