How big was the largest whale you ever had?

As an affiliate webmaster it is possible to "win the lottery," so to speak, by landing a player where the casino or other gaming site wins big on a players gaming activity and you share in that win.

Whales can be a mixed blessing though. Earnings from whales can fluctuate wildly from month to month depending on whether they decide to play a lot, or not at all, and whether they had a winning or a losing streak.

For this week's poll I thought I'd ask how much you're largest player of all time contributed to your revenue.

But what I'm particularly interested in learning about is the experiences other webmasters have had with their larger players coming and going over time.

I've had a few whales over my time and although it works out well in the end it has also ruined a few months for me!

The thing I find scary is how I can refer 50 players to a program in a month yet it means nothing if that one player has a decent night. I've also had a few good affiliate managers who have moved whales to separate affiliate accounts for me so this can't happen!

I love them, but they also scare the life out of me with the fluctuations - one minute your planning to buy a new car the next your minus £30k!

I think for me i had a baby whale... probably made 10K from them over a period of time. I consider this really small still yet he was baby whale.

Hoping to get that one big 100K whale soon - haha but i will take a few 10K baby whales for shits and giggles..

The idea is to get as many deposits as possible - use every method possible - your bound to get that whale one day - we have had a few..

They do disappear though after a few months usually.

I had one disappear because Europartners would not honor a $50 bonus. I sent the player the bonus out of pocket to try and save him but he was so angry Europartners treated him so badly he decided to never play with them again.

That cost me $100 per day - ( he was active and i was making $100 a day at least for 3 months).

    Happy times at Europartners.. LOL

Ive had a few really good players over the years.

I love the wagershare model at Rewards and I'm very lucky they stayed around for years. When I am lucky enough to hook a whale, I want them playing there. You never have to worry about loosing your earnings from a player winning

Had a whale at the English Harbour Casino for just under two years, the occasional month he would lose high $XX,XXX. He would deposit between $1000 - $2700 in a day and would lose it all on the same day or the next day. There were very few days that he would come out ahead. Just before Christmas he would stop and he also would stop for a couple of weeks thoughout the year. One more year and I would had a kickass safety net to fall back on. Really gonna miss this whale.

I named my whales after movie stars. One I called Leonardo Dicaprio, the next was Robert Dinero. Then there was Jack Nickleson and so on.

Hmm, now that I wrote that. Why are they all men?

PS, I did not answer the poll. I'll never tell. Methinks it's bad luck. Perhaps a bit disrespectful, if you'll excuse me.

That's between you and your player. Respectfully, I choose not to post numbers. Hope that's ok.

My biggest whale was my only whale and it was way back when Sci Fi Casino was still RTG. Made on average about $2K a month for about 6 months, and then Wagerprofits sold out and transferred "ALL" my players to Pantasia casino and never saw my whale again....I even sent out a whale watcher boat looking for him......but was never found or heard from again....at least not by me...but i am sure pantasia casino saw my whale a whole l ot!!!

I've had a few over the years. One guy was spending a fortune at a Rival in 2009 that I asked the AM to check him out to make sure he wasn't losing his house in the process. Turned out he was only using one AMX card to deposit and had a great job.

Thought I recently had another high roller at Betfred as seen in my Betfed post image, spending aprox. $71K over 5 days, they won in the end and self-excluded I'm told.

I know people like that. My father was one of them, once I make him bet on UFC since I have a great % of winnings and I made him won 5k on one event and he later lost that 5k and another 5k playing casino.
