Actually theres a program i downloaded called Notepad++ (i think i got it from download.com) that is like regular notepad but is perfect for coders because you can open multiple pages at once and it colour codes everything for you - i love that feature too.. makes code so much easier to read when you're not wearing your "search the matrix" glasses
And BTW I wasn't joking either.. I AM a nerd. I tried to tell the IT guys at work that I'm not a nerd, but a geek and they will not agree with me at all.. they say I'm a nerd.

If you are a nerd so you probably knows everything in codings. I mean you are good in coding the html and other programming languages.
So aside from notepad.com any other site that can be use for the beginner like me?
I did part of a computer science degree at uni and hated it because all the lecturers were "non australians" and I couldnt understand a word they said, so i left.
All of the languages i code in i have taught myself. I think if you are really interested in learning, the best way is to either have small interactive classes or to teach yourself.
I'd say your best bet is www.w3schools.com
On the left there is a link that says "Learn HTML"
Click it and start going through all the examples and actually DO each one. Don't just read it, but do it.
All you will need is regular notepad and an internet browser. My guess is that once you start making small things and learning how to do certain things you will really start to enjoy it and therefore learn a lot more than you thought you would.
Otherwise do a google search for HTML editors. You will find at least one there that has a simple WYSIWYG editor. This is where you pretty much design the page as it looks. So you place the photos on the page where you want them and the text etc and the editor writes the code in the background for you.
Again, if you have any questions, send me an email Renee@RewardsAffiliates.com
I'm happy to help![]()

Reluctant tossing this info but what the heck, IMO it is really cool. Never bother with HTML up until 4 years ago. Just wasn’t my thing I prefer actual coding as opposed to HTML a mere mark-up language. But soon realized learning HTML is a must to be in this bizz.
Like you I scrambled for something really easy to use with no HTML knowledge required. I would compare this free software download comparable to dreamweaver. I could design a pretty awesome page in under 30min. The program literally has everything you would ever need to make a successful site and them some.
However it does lack in a few important areas, bloated useless code. But for beginners nothing compares. So here it my friend Google search Blue Voda they also offer hosting. Their support is excellent and you will learn very quickly. Oh yeah Greek owned if that matters much.
For myself I mainly use Dreamweaver and Flash.
Giver a try!

yes... but the problem is some i don't understand some codes. Already tried google but no luck for me to understand some languages used.
Here's a link http://www.bluevoda.com/ giver a try. At the very least it will get the ball rolling. Remember this program requires no HTML knowledge. I guarantee you will not regret it.
Then get a hold of Renee because she is awesome to work with!
The seo is entirely separate learning process.
thanks greek... I will try this later and will update you guys some other day
A lot of great ideas were given here and a lot of very good information and many past examples too.
This thread really will help a lot to decide.
I think that one of the good Ideas brought up in this thread is of opening some sort of class for new industry joiners and also basically any one looking to build a website and generate revenue from it as an affiliate.
This would really get people the help they need.
Since there are many people on this forum with a lot of knowledge and a lot of experience too. this would be a great place for this.
I would appreciate one that thinks this could be a good idea to PM me and we can discuss how this good be done in a way that it follows some order, from the beginning of how to build a site, SEO, and getting into programs and managing correct promotions.

W-O-W!
It has been a little while since I last visited here, and had no idea that my innocent newbie thread will become so helpful and get so many good reviews! I think I created a monster...
Anyways I went through everything written here and absorbed. I found many things helpful and hope the show goes on and many contrbiute what they have in store.
I am also happy to announce that in the next couple of months you will see a whole new website - prepare yourselves for a big surprise.
I am smug.
Good luck i guess would be the last and most important thing to say here.
I think so too that running a website can easily learned just from the open resources from the internet. I suggest for those beginners to also stop by and read some of the posts at top online webmasters forum like v7n.com and Kahuki forum. You can join there guys if you like and just put raphnix as your referrer.
There are lots of free templates. You can just enter your content.
There are programs like joomla. If you want better looking site you can pay to someone who can do it for cheap, but good. There are endless options, you just need to search google
There are many gambling sites, but my favorite one is the betting forum
