Question How did 2008 revenue compare with 2007 revenue for you?

As 2008 draws to a close I thought it would be interesting to ask how the affiliate revenue you earned in 2008 compared to what you earned in 2007.

How did it change? Did it get better, stay the same, or get worse for you?

And posts about your thoughts for the changes you have seen and your view of what the future holds are welcome. Do you think the changes between the two years is due to general business changes, to changes you have made to your sites, to a change in your level of effort, or something else?

Michael

For Casino City, our affiliate revenue is currently growing. However, our affiliate revenue was actually greater in 2007 than in 2008 because we did not feel the full effects of the UIGEA until the second half of 2007 and first half of 2008. Our total affiliate revenue in calendar year 2008 was approximately 1/3rd smaller than our total affiliate revenue in calendar year 2007. Fortunately we are reasonably well diversified so we had other areas of growth in calendar year 2008.

That's good to hear Michael, I remember you posting that your were in the red at one point. I'm glad to hear things are looking up.

My affiliate revenue was up 2008. It's the first year I can really make a decent comparison. It was probably because I was not affected by the UIGEA as much as others. I am certainly bullish on the entire industry.

This was my best year ever. It's incredable what we can do. Plus, I don't have to ask 'would you like fries with that'?

I agree, and the most amazing thing is that the market is growing at a super fast rate that I feel there is room for so much more.

I don't have the figures with me so didn't vote, but guessing I would have to say it's up 25% or so from 07....
