How did the first quarter of 2009 compare with the last quarter of 2008 for you?

We've just completed the first calendar quarter of 2009, so it is time to ask our periodic question to members about how the revenue they are earning has changed over the last quarter.

If you compare revenue from the first quarter of 2009 (January to March) to revenue from the last quarter of 2008 (October to December), how did it change? Did it get better, stay the same, or get worse for you?

And posts about your thoughts for the changes you have seen and your view of what the future holds are welcome. How much do you think the changes you saw between the two quarters is due to general economic conditions, how much is related to seasonal fluctuations, and how much is related to changes in what you are doing?

Casino City saw a slight decline in the first quarter of 2009 as compared with the last quarter of 2008. The actual percentage decline was about 8%.

In a similar question asked at the Casino Affiliate Convention final panel session yesterday, it appeared that slight declines were not uncommon, but a significant number of portal webmasters in the audience raised there hand to indicate they had actually experienced growth in spite of the poor general economic conditions.

Steady as she goes.... hardly any difference here, and the small difference is due to a rocking November.

Strong growth over last year's first quarter regardless of some pretty big high rollers who wiped out the March's earning.

Overall solid growth. Keep in mind that this is from non US markets, which may account for the growth in the recession.

Not a lot of change here really. Steady and fairly consistant for the past 6 months.

About 10% ahead, rather disappointing considering what I was like site wise last year. Jan was bad, Feb was strong and March flat.

Hard to say really because my business is split in two between advertising and affiliation.

The advertising side of things took a hell of a beating and income on that side of things is down by close to 90%.

But this has be offset a little by a significant increase in affiliate revenue.

Overall my income is down i would say by about 50% but still working on final figures etc so its all ballpark.

Things are looking up though so i think the worse is over for me

My results in the first quarter are very good, and better than in the last quarter of 2008, I have more new players and I see that the stats is much better. But my revenue shrank 30% in the first quarter, only because I had very good revenue from my old big players in the last quarter of 2008 . But I'm very happy with my results in the first quarter of 2009

Not much change in revenue, but more new sign ups. So I hope more revenue in the near future. The overall economic downturn doesn't seem to have affected my business.
