How did the third quarter of 2008 compare with the second quarter of 2008 for you?

We've just completed the third calendar quarter of 2008, so its time to ask our periodic question to members about how the revenue they are earning is changing.

If you compare revenue from the third quarter of 2008 (July to September) to revenue from the second quarter of of 2008 (April to June), how did it change? Did it get better, stay the same, or get worse for you?

And posts about your thoughts for the changes you have seen and your view of what the future holds are welcome. Do you think the changes between the two quarters is due to general business changes, or is it just seasonal fluctuations?

We saw a little increase third quarter. The final quarter will be interesting with the economy, elections (Canada and US) and global banking crisis. It will be a challenge for all of us.

This is the first time I can really compare to previous quarters. I am doing much better this quater than I did the previous year. For me, the difference is I'm putting a lot more time into it. I've been focused on trying to bring more quality into my sites.. which is a lot harder than it sounds.

I have no real data to compare to, so for me it's up 'infiinity' percent.

Couldn't find a box to tick for that one, though...

I'm seeing a slight drop in revenue which isn't a surprise to me. It seems to be the same each year.

The third quarter is always my worst. I think it's because I don't focus as much as I should over the latter part of the summer. Might have something to do with the fishing being better here in the 3rd quarter although I'm not sure what the credit crunch will bring for the 4th quarter - normally some of my better months!

Sounds like what I witnessed last time I saw the Jets play.

I have found over the years that July/Aug are my slowest months by revenue, yet I am usually the busiest trying to get ready for falltime gambling.

I am also finding more of my programs have changed payment methods or something and failed to ask how I want to be paid... and instead, I have to chase them down.

    Looks like

Looks like the poll is bringing mixed results, which I suppose makes me feel better!

My turn-over stayed around the same as the previous month, but have only published a re-design of my site a week or two ago, so am hoping that I will see better results very soon!

    Good luck all

Flat as a pancake... I think that is actually good news though as I had focused so much of my time to developing my Affiliate Network. Had I focused on my sites and blogs I thnk I would have had a good increase.

I have seen an increase in traffic but around a 20% drop in revenue.

Luckily, I have freed up a lot more time to work on the site in the next few months.

Doesnt look that hard when you just seem to be copying anyone who is in the same field as you.

I also had an increase. A nice one at that. However i think this will level out.

This is why i have focused on creating many new sites in all languages.

Predominantly i will focus on the Dutch speaking world and of course English.

In May-June will go after Italian, Spanish and French areas.

You quoted me on that one. Here's a relevant thread: http://www.gpwa.org/forum/my-gpwa-st...178825/p2.html
