Question How do you monitor your affiliate earnings?

There are a few tools available that gather affiliate statistics and that have been mentioned in the forums over the years. These include Stats Remove, Adge, and Nifty Stats. In a previous thread on one of these programs, robertmedl also mentioned using a bookmark folder as a way to quickly access statistics for individual program sites in the following post in that thread: Tool that allows you to check all affiliate stats fast in one place.

How about you? Do you use a tool that gathers affiliate program statistics for you? Do you have opinions you would like to share about the tools available, and your approach to monitoring affiliate earnings?

Partly I am asking this question today because it seems that Stats Remote, which has traditionally provided great customer service, has gone radio silent of late as noted in the following thread: Statsremote?

I used Stats Remote for a while, but some of the figures didn't always match the figures that I saw when I manually logged into the program, so I dropped SR and log in manually now.

I have 54 online gambling affiliate programs in my statsremote but i canceled subscription today!
Middle of 2015 i used Adge.com for a couple of month.
I was not really happy with 3 things:
    - good amount of major programs weren't not active
    - my data in other hands (cloud based and the operator is a huge player in online gambling)
    - price

I asked this week about infos to progress with development and integration of required operators. Got no answer until now!
But it is a more sophisticated tool and still you save hours of time! No idea what to do
On the other hand it makes really NO SENSE to check stats every day - its only "good to know"!

I check them manually, every morning, afternoon and the ones that are updated constantly: way too many times a day. I don't need to set my alarm clock any more as most of my best aff programme's stats are updated around 07.00 am. Wake up, check my stats and I am wide awake. Sometimes because the results are so good, sometimes because I am in shock when a whole month's of commission has been wiped out by one player in one day.

I just do it the old fashioned way - one at a time. I also have an excel spreadsheet I put together that I enter the stats into. It tracks earnings, new deposits clicks, downloads etc etc. Basically anything I want to track.

I also then built into the spreadsheet to show me anytime during the month what kind of a trend I am on and what my final numbers will be at the end of the month. That way if a program is increasing/decreasing in revenue, clicks or new deposits I know right away. It is also good so I can forecast whether it looks like a good month or good month and I can prepare for it. I also then have past results right there in front of me since I track it monthly.

We have programs we check manually, but most brands we work with we have developed a system, they automatically export they data from affiliate programs and upload to our own system.

This can be hard to manage up to 100 brands and have control over all programs if you need to log in manually to every program

I do it manually, program by program and record the important figures each month in Excel.

Maybe that's old-fashioned, however for me it's as much about spotting opportunities and issues as it is about checking the numbers. If I was using some kind of aggregation/summary tool then I expect it would be all too easy to miss the useful nuggets that you can only really spot by drilling into the detail at a program level.

You can only properly scrutinise your stats if you do it yourself one by one in my book

The old fashioned way, one by one.. it maybe convenient to use statsremote et al, but I personally don't want/trust 3rd party applications, prefer to keep information to myself. Does the trick for me and I like being old fashioned!

We are working on creating a tool where you can setup all kind of affiliate websites for our internal use. Maybe releasing it as open source. Will take some time to develop this project and we need some beta testers when we have our first version up and running. When the time is there we will open a thread here regarding this project.

Much less frequently than I used to...

I check the brands getting the most traffic every now and then during the month, then I punch all the numbers into a spreadsheet at the beginning of each month to get the full picture.

    Very good poll Michael !

Used to trust on StatsRemote but since almost 2 months now their support stopped suddenly without explanation or even an email...

I'm checking alternative tools now but I already know now that I'll have to compromise I guess because SR used to have very good support in gambling programs and no tool have this kind of spread from what I checked...

The old-fashioned way for me. If I'm running a promo or some decent targeted ads, then I'll check a program daily but most only once or twice a month.
