Question How to gain GOOD free backlinks?

Hey. I am on a pretty short budget and I wonder how I can get any good links to my three sites. They are all new so people aren't very interested in doing exchange so it is hard to get backlinks. Any ideas for a free way to get GOOD backlinks to a new site?

You can build a social media presence for next to nothing, and that presence will contribute somewhat to better rankings in the search engines.

    Hi Casinoguide,

Your content is very, very thin. I think you should concentrate on writing quality articles (600+ words), reviews and such before even thinking about link swapping. If you have a rich and fresh site that is updated at least twice a week and one or two years old, then you might get other sites to swap links with your sites. It has to be a win-win proposition for all parties involved.

As Wolfie says, you have nothing on any of your sites that any decent site would want to link to. And, by extension, nothing that any readers would find unique.

Write good, solid content aimed at readers, try to promote that (social media etc) and then just allow the links to be attracted naturally. If the content is good, you'll get linked to. Over time.

IMO ... you canīt attract backlinks with good content in B2C

Your content could the best in the world (and should for other reasons), but almost no one from your targeted audience has a website or blog or something to mention you! You hunting gamblers not blogger! It is myth that good content brings backlinks by itself. You need to promote your content.

They are some doable things like producing really great content (skyscraper) in shoulder niches to get qualified backlinks, expired domains and for sure guest posts.

I agree that content should be promoted (as I stated above) but the question was how to attract quality backlinks, not visitors.

I have backlinks from completely non-gambling websites, whose site owners/users linked to articles I'd written because they were relevant to something they were discussing. I didn't ask them for links, or promote the article directly. They just found it. And linked to it.

are you finding that as beneficial for your website? As sometimes you read that unrelated back links might harm your website SEO.
How relevant was your article then?

Backlinks from high-quality, non-gambling related websites are very valuable and clearly can't hurt your rankings - they're quite literally the 'vote of confidence' that Google uses to assess your expertise and authority.

Links from low-quality sites - in whatever niche - are harmful.

The link I'm referring to came from an expert medical journal who were discussing chance and probability, so very relevant.

Khmmmm... FREE and QUALITY don't go together when you are thinking of exchanging. Your trustflow is 0, why would any website like to give you some "Trust", because they have risk of losing theirs?

Best options - create great content (it will get shared etc, or create infographic and send emails...) and use social media to attract FREE audience

In this business, the short answer is that it is extremely difficult to get quality links for free.

As Wonderpunter says, if you write a really good and interesting article, you might get some links back to it, but that article have to be pretty **** good.

External websites pointing to your site is a very good signal for SEO. But according to the Google webmaster team, low quality links are not helpful for search ranking because backlinks are best from high PR domains and pages.

Page rank is still in use as a ranking factor: https://www.seroundtable.com/google-...ank-23392.html

They have however removed it from the Google toolbar, so there is no way of knowning the page rank of a site any more.

We are not in 2011 It's 7 at the end of the year number, not 1, maybe you got confused.

TrustFlow is a new measure of how good the website is generally is, and maybe Domain Authority.
