Good to see a nice easy question.

Um... honestly, buying links is probably the only way, and it won't be cheap. Alternatively, go PPC and the same thing applies.

    LOL!

The first thought in this question I had was.. Well.. let's try the SEARCH button and see where we talked about this a 100 times before..

Oh.. FictionNet, buying links isn't the best answer to that.. Mr. G might penalize you pretty hard.. You forgot to mention that.
Buying CAN work, but not if you but 1000s at a time.. A slow and consistant link increase looks more natural.

Buying links is the only way he'll do it if the terms are competitive. Yep, there's the downside if you do it wrong - but if anyone else knows another way to go from zero to top for top search terms without shelling out for links then I'd love to hear it.

Well.. I have 5 things you MUST do.

    1. Get out of G's "isolation room" where ALL new sites sits for a while
    2. Super SEO
    3. Super On-Page SEO
    4. Be Unique
    5. Get links - It hasn't to be bought links, but ALL links are good as long as you get it from a "friendly neighborhood"

And as a bonus: A keyword rich domain helps, no matter what anyone says.

I could tell you about a site I own which is a keyword rich domain + On-page SEO and that one sits on #1 in most g tld's.
I don't want to give that site away here since it don't have anything to do about gambling, PM if you would like to see it.

If you think that'd work for top ranking in Google for 'online casino' or similar, I'd love it see it work. Without buying links, of course. If we're talking about non-premium terms then yes, it's very possible to rank high without paying out.

What I'm saying that you don't HAVE to buy links, you can get links with your anchor anyway. Can't you'?
Since "online casino" is such a let me say "destroyed kw phrase" I don't think anything other than BH would help you there.
And we know that won't last long.

I think we're both getting at the same point, sort of. If the terms the OP is looking for are super-competitive then the only 'quick' way of doing things (which is what he apparently wants) will involve link buying which as we both agree, would mean the results are likely to be short lived. On the other hand, I may have completely jumped the gun on assuming that the OP's target terms are competitive. He may want to score for something more niche, in which case it's certainly possible.

I think so too, remember that I'm Swedish, tired and stubbard.. LOL

If you look at his sig he do link 2 site with 2 different phrases, that's a no-no if you try to rank for a certain phrase.
You don't want to confuse G too much

But we could agree on that jumping on a link buying train which promise you 1-5k links in a week or less (read xrumer/scrapebox) is a big warning.
Those 5k links you want is better of spread throughout the year.

But DON'T buy too obvious, G will notice - And Punish.

Apart from link buying, is there any other way of ranking a site quickly in Google SERP?

yes but the quick ways usually don't keep you there for long. you could do a whole host of black hat techniques to get quick results but you'll soon get caught and dropped down. slow and steady wins the race

Title is very important and everybody tend not to take care of it anymore. Try mixing the targeted KW letteres as large small etc and use 3 times in a title. Ex:// lets say we are targeting slot the title maybe "Slot machines, sLOT sites, SLOT rules

Got it ? Try and inform me

Does the title of a page/website make much of a difference? The most successful sites have simple and informative (relevant) titles

If the titles are informative and descriptive, that's all you can do in that respect.

Having variations of the keyword I don't think is the answer though.

Some sites have their brand/URL in the title - i.e XXXXX Slot Game Review - XXXXX Slots (name of site) - what do you think to that? (on every title)

I have tried my method on my several sites and got results on all of the algorithm updates. But what makes me surprise is although some xxxx.......xxxxxx are put in titles y
They are still ranking well. I think title has a factor but it is not a dominating factor

I can tell you mate that titles are very important, make them relevant. the title you have for your recommender site is a very good example of a good title. messing around with sLOTS, SLOT, Slots not only looks crap to the search engines (makes you look like you are trying tricks) but looks spammy and poor to the user.
As for some sites using their domain names, if they are keyword rich it can be a very good idea as you can make it look very natural to the user and SE's i.e say we own onlinecasino.co.uk, you could put

'Online Casino bonuses and codes for casinos only at onlinecasino.co.uk'

that looks very natural, plus people might remember the address for direct traffic at later stages

I agree with thebookiesoffers on this....I think doing Slot machines, sLOT sites, SLOT rules looks spammy.
