I agree with looking sloppy but it effects positively
Well it shouldn't....that would be like saying that the query is case sensitive and that saying slots 3 times with lower case is spam and changiong the case around isn't....
And the only way to actually PROVE that it does matter is to take a page that ranks poorly, change ONLY the title and nothing else, and the rank would have to improve dramtically with that change alone....
The title change would have to use the SAME EXACT words and ONLY the case could change....otherwise it doesn't prove anything.

If an affiliate program is not small affiliate friendly (especially small US Affiliate), then they are NOT Affiliate Friendly!
Not once have I seen content mentioned here.
If you want to create a site today and have it rank tops tomorrow, be prepared to throw it away soon. Google no like and it will catch you.
If you want to create a site that will make you money for years to come, create unique content.

This is one of the oldest questions in SEO, how can you rank quickly for a keywordIts something every webmaster would love to know, and what everyone spends their time trying to figure out lol Even if it were possible to rank quickly, the bigger issue is being able to maintain that position. I've seen websites come out of nowhere and rank well very quickly, but I haven't seen any of them maintain that ranking. I think its better to creep up the SERPs slowly and steadily, even if it takes a bit longer.
Forget about it! This is a business field like any other. If anyone could come and rank FAST in the top of the serps, everyone would quit their day job and create a website. The way I see your question is "How can I get fast serp results, for free, applying some sort of technique?". You simply can't at least not for free and permanent.
But that's good! That gives you protection in the future! It guarantees you that no shmucks that came in for the money will be able to outrank you fast, make some cash and leave. The better question would be "Does my site/pages/posts have the quality to meet the expectations of the viewers, at top ranks?"
You know what they say, easy come easy go. That's why you don't see many lottery winners keeping their $. While moving up in the serps, you go through this process of learning and understanding your site, your traffic, your strong keywords etc. It's a process necessary for later. As Nic ones said in an interview about lcb it's not hard to get to the top, it's hard staying there.
P.S: Even if there was some sort of magical secret, do you believe someone will come out here and share it?

Make a 3 year business plan, like you would be required to do with any start up business.
If you do that, you can end up making a good living for many years to come.
First think about what you personally would want from a site as a player. Hopefully that means that the content will be somewhat unique, because not everyone will be looking for the same info.
Start with one thing that you don't see all that often. One perspective that would be useful to you as a player. This will be the niche you start with, and it will give you an advantage in the SERPS. Make an outline of what all in that category applies. Maybe it's a specific game, and you can make a site that does a better job of explaining it. Maybe it's a certain type of bonus, and you can explain what's good about it and what to look for in player T&Cs. Maybe it's places you can play when you are from a specific country. Lots of ways to approach this. Go to some player forums and see what their concerns and desires are.
Build this with good, basic SEO. Make all the keywords and titles etc very specific to what is actually important about your topic, and what can be found on that specific page. Don't be afraid to use long tails, you want google to notice you and start putting you in the SERPS - it doesn't matter for what keyword. You want google to start paying attention to you.
You don't have to go on massive link quests or guest blogs or anything, but find a handful of very relevant links from good sites on that topic and see about publishing a couple of articles about your site and what it offers. If your pages are good, people will be willing to exchange links. Quality over quantity. You will be surprised - links DO propagate naturally if your product is good. There is absolutely NO need to start with 5000 links. IMO that hurts more than it helps in the long run.
Now coninue with your business plan - you now know how long it takes you to create a site on a limited topic. Now you can add in other topics that relate. And so on.
If you do this, after the three years you will have a site that ranks well and sits stable in the SERPS. And you will make a living for many years to come.
And like xecutable says, you will learn a wealth of stuff as you progress. You will be a pro once you have the business plan implemented.
That's one business model, and my choice because it is reliable and really a lot less work and investment in the long run. You won't be chasing google secrets for the rest of your career.
The other common business model is to create a ton of small sites and work with quantity rather than quality. There are white hat versions of this and black hat versions. Most that I have seen operate in a grey area - trying to game google but trying to stay under the radar and holding on to sites longer than blackhat can. It's a more volatile way of doing it, and I guess there are a lot of people who like the adrenalin of gaming google.
Business model number two may originally seem to be less work and quicker success, but there are not very many webmasters I have seen with staying power. Gaming google brings temporary results, google changes the algo every time they become aware of a scheme and they are not as stupid as you think. So you are constantly adapting and changing things - which makes for a lot of extra work, especially because you have a lot of sites to work on. And when the sites plummet for the second or third time, people end up quitting and leaving a vacuum for the quality sites to keep climbing. And the quality sites don't tend to plummet - their advances tend to be permanent.
So my choice has been not to game google in any way. And I have been making a decent living for some 10 years now - when the economy is good it's very good, but there is enough staying power to make it through bad economic times too.
Which model to choose is a matter of personality I guess. Both can be successful.
Personally I like things more stable, I don't want to run around like a chicken with it's head cut off after every algo change.

Good post Dominique, you seem to understand what is more important - providing quality information to the end user will always be key and a viable project for the one who wants to achieve steady rankings.

Some great advice in this thread! I agree that quality will win out in the long run, and producing quality takes time/money.
Link buying can actually be done within Google's guidelines (it's called advertising...)

You have explained the matter perfectly but i have to add one thing for sure. Working regularly and updating your site regularly is very important also. Google gives very much importance to this.Adding 500 words of blog every day is better than adding 5000 words 1 times a week or a month... Also the grammar of your writings is very much important. This is called Semantics...
Hi
It always varies on niche you are taking
start a site on girls bunk beds you can rank in weeks by getting it some good content and few submissions and 2-3 good links
start a web hosting site (you will have to enter war)
1) buy a domain which is real and aged and with some power
2) daily updates
3)over 25k budget to invest on links
4) design part
5)and once you get traffic going how to monetize it to maximum
so it would be helpful to suggest if we can know your keywords
Thanks
You could look into Black Hat SEO, however if the domain you are using isnt a throw away domain then i would strongly suggest you look at a proper SEO campaign which involves stedy growth over several months/years. You should look into PPC and Facebook ads as a way of getting new customers and FTD's then use a part of the revenue to start you SEO campaign.
Get to the top without spending any money or time, well I'll give you a much more viable get rich quick scheme. buy a lottery ticket and cross your fingers, because that is about as likely.
At least that's going to be more ethical than any other technique to get there with no money or effort... although to be fair if there was a get rich quick scheme we'd all have retired and be sailing our yachts around the med and not replying to things on forums to kill a bit of time in the office.
Most of us don't read and reply here for the specific purposes of just killing time.....
I will however take your advice and buy a lottery thicket this week....cause the payment on the yacht is coming due.....LOL

Haha Ok, you got me not everyone replies here for the sake of killing time (although I reckon there are a few posts from all of us which came about from a hmmm what can I do for 10 minutes scenario).
But the point of the get rich quick scheme still stands if there was a way to get rich overnight and get out I think I would already be out.
And haha I may just do one as well, wouldn't it be serendipitous for me to win after making that comment.
Yea, that's why I better buy a ticket today too.....I would hate to see on the news later this week that someone one around the corner and I didn't buy one.....
/end derail
I have seen sites climb up to good positions quickly in the past, and rarely will they stay, but every once in a while they have....but never if they don't have good strategies in place.
In those cases, the meteoric rise is often due to a press release that was picked up many places, maybe a video or other post that went viral, etc....and these situations where a site did stay high in the serps after a fast climb were likely sites that had been working their way up anyhow but had something trigger the quick jump....

I understand is a new site, from my experience is important to:
-add fresh content.
-build a clean site, with internal links to important pages and few outbound links.
-focus on 3-4 main keywords only.
-regarding link building, don't use backlinks like bookmarking, blog comments etc. in the first 6 months, you risk severe penalties.
You can start with slow submission to directories or link exchanges, don't use submission software.
You can PM me if you want to discuss details.
I would say just try to build quality backlinks using blog commenting and forum posting techniques with dofollow "rel". It will definitely increase your website SERP as Google ranking.
