How has traffic to your sites changed in the last year?

As affiliates, we all work to increase the number of visitors we have to our sites. We do this through a variety of means. Work to improve our positions in search results for specific terms, we work to increase the number of terms for which we rank in search results, we work to improve our sites so visitors will return more often.

If you compare the total traffic to your sites today versus a year ago, how large a change has their been in that traffic. Has it increased a lot or a little? Has it decreased?

Be sure to share the factors that you feel have been most influential in the change in traffic you have observed. Did traffic grow because you bought or developed new sites? Did traffic shrink because you sold sites, cut back on marketing efforts, or because of advances made by competing sites? Does Google like your sites more or less now than it did a year ago?

Traffic has grown steadily for me but that's expected as I have been rebuilding prety much from scratch. However, what I have noticed more than anything is that the relationship between US traffic growth and revenue has dropped significantly. Traffic continues to grow but the percentage of revenue has declined substantially, obvioulsy due mostly to banking restrictions.

Mine has dropped a good bit. I've always been amateur-ish and small time, but in the last year and a half or so, I've kind of gotten a little too lazy with content creation and link building.

Traffic to my site has increased by a factor of ten over the last year - but it was created just over a year ago so I guess that doesn't count

2010 has been very good for us, since we had about +100% traffic and, most of all, a good trust from visitors and Google.
Focusing on GOOD content, new projects and SEO helped a lot.
