How important is the US market for non-US affiliates?

According to an article in Yogonet.com, a study conducted by PriceWaterhouseCoopers one year after the passage of UIGEA showed that the US market is still the driving force in the world gambling industry. It would be interesting to know how important is this market today for non-US affiliates. Although it would be equally interesting to know the current importance of the US market as income source of the US affiliates, but I preferred not to include that in this poll, in order not to give the DoJ any chance of paying a surprise 'friendly' visit to any of our US colleagues.

I think there are actually quite a few good, reputable casinos that still accept U.S. players.

I agree. I actually some of the best remain in the US market.

However, with the reduced competition, it has leveled the playing field for rogue or less competent operators.

I do not live in the US, but I have never promoted US based casinos for the legal liability. Also, I've noticed that the majority of the US casinos I would have promoted if I chose to do so, already have left the market.

I sill think promoting casinos in regulated countries is a solid long term approach.

I can imagine however, many webmasters doing extremely well in the US market.

As a typical Brit, with a large amount of Italian in my blood i am not put off targetting or indeed aiming for US players. As far as i am concerned what i do in my country cannot be governed by the laws of another country, US or otherwise.

Rightly or wrongly that is my stance and if the feds want to visit me my door is always open!

I think that the US market is massive for all of us tbh and feel sorry for you guys over there that have had this restriction of trade.

I really hope that your new guy can see a way to sort this out!
