Default How to increase website speed ?

I know that page/website speed is very important and I love fast pages/websites. Do anyone have any suggestions on how to increase website/page speed?
Is the type of host very important ?

A good host is important, try using a caching on your website, gtmetrix.com is a good tool too.

Hosting is one of the most important things. Don't be cheap, get great hosting. Make sure it includes a content delivery network that is high quality and has multiple servers in your main targeted countries.

Cutting out and getting rid of extra plugins and modules your site does not need are great ways to speed up your site as well.

For a good start on seeing what is wrong with your site, try using Google's pagespeed insights tool: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/

GTMetrix is good, Google PageSpeed is okay as it gives a rough idea on things but take it with a pinch of a salt as it's not the most accurate when it comes to results. You may like to take a look at Pingdom for pointers as well.

Pingdom gives me completely different pagespeed. Which one is the most reliable u think? gtmetrix or https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed or pingdom ?

My weak part of the webpage speed is this parts according to pingdom :
    Combine external JavaScript
    f
    14
    Leverage browser caching
    f
    25
    Combine external CSS
    f
    33
    Minimize request size

Anyone know how to deal with this problems ?

Fast server / CDN / NODE / image delivery & size options...

If your using Wordpress then you need to deal with it for the most part as its so bulky.

For browser caching you can either configure your server or do it through services like Cloudflare.

For requests, you have multiple external javascipt and css files, if you combine them in one (one js and one css), if possible, you will automatically reduce the request size, as well. You should also minify those files.

That's the general idea, it depends on what's exactly going on there.

This i what I done, cleaned up code, ditched unused plugins and uneeded, cloudflare pro then high spec cloud server with litespeed and litespeed cache plugin.. 2nd load in around 600-700 ms.. which for the size of my site and the amount of code and images is not bad

I use all three, but find GTMetrix the most useful for finding out what areas of a site need working on and Pingdom is a good indicator for load time comparison as a before and after. PageSpeed, pretty much ignore what it says but still use it out of curiosity.

I have the option to choose: (clear cache and minified css and js)
will it increase my page speed and is it a risk for my site to get damaged ?

Minifying css and js can both improve page speed and break it, depends on the code. Best thing to do is always make a back up first, then try it, if anything goes wrong you can always just re-install the original version.

Do Youtube clips slow down the website speed a lot?
Is there a way to make videos load faster or not to decrease website speed ?

GTMetrix and Pingdom are great for getting nitty gritty and improving real world page load speed times. Google's Pagespeed Insights is great because it is Google... directly... telling you... what they care about you fixing!

So in reality, you should do both
