How long did it take you to earn the first $1000?

The average salery in Hungary is $400-500 so I decided to fully concentrate on my website. In the past I already made a try, but I was a rahter a kid who helped his father than a professional. Now I started to build my site and I would like to know how long it took you to earn some bucks.

It took me 2 years, but don't let that put you off! At the time I was very green and knew nothing about the internet, website design or SEO so it was a totally new field for me. I didn't even know how to switch a computer on believe it or not!!
Once I got my first check it took off from there and I have never looked back, despite all the ups and downs our industry goes through.

It took me about 3 months to earn my first $1000, however I think I got lucky in a few ways with the domain purchase and have found it hard with new projects to replicate that success.

It is such a fragile industry, one referred player can earn you £1000 per month for years, whereas some affiliates send 10 players per month yet have never had that high roller break.

Keep working and it comes... eventually!

It took us approximately 2 years before we hit the $1,000 mark per month that was back in 2008. It's a very difficult industry to compete in and to be successful too, but if you're prepared to work hard, have a lot of patience and do proper research you could easily make it.

It took me quite some time back 10 years ago to make this much. Mostly outside of the gambling niche. Once getting into gambling affiliate stuff it was a few months from those sites.

I have 4 months and my total profit is 0 but a friend of mine in 4 months he started to earn 1k so I will keep trying. Its difficult for new sites like mine.

I was lucky enough to get in early, about 15 years ago. It took me about a week once I started monetizing my sites... but I had been running a popular Nirvana fan page for about two years prior without attempting to earn a dime... does that count?

it took me about 5 months and my first $1000+ a month program was Mainstreet Affiliates ,That was back in feb 2006.

I have 7 months now, and recently started to get a few depositor, it will probably take me 4 month more to get to the 1,000.Like grem said it can be done in less time if you choose the right niche and keywords. I made a lot of mistakes and now I have a more clear picture of what I have to do.
