Depends what you mean by successful. You can earn some money relatively quickly, but you probably won't be full time for the first year or so.

Monthly earnings vary from between 0 and 100,000, with most somewhere in between.

Depends on the quality of player your website attracts. If you're on rev share, the earning potential can be very high. But on the other hand the casino affiliate industry is very competitive, so by no means a get rich quick. If you put in the effort and time to do things properly, you will be rewarded. If you have a good knowledge of seo this will obviously be a great help.

I was reading the first response... from 0 to 100k there's a big difference

I'm not sure whats the general experience here but I don't think that 100k is the real number, specially if you are a new affiliate.

I'm a new member here but have been involved in running gambling portals for around 4 years now.

The "how much" question is always a difficult one to answer as there are too many variables, for example how much traffic does your site attract, what sort of site is it, how well can you convert, etc etc. That is why you were given such a broad range of 1-100k.

The great thing is that if you are referring players on revenue share, they are your player for life (yours or theirs, whichever ends first). So in theory each month should be better than the last, as you are adding to your number of referrals each month. Providing they keep playing, you keep earning.

In my experience it takes a bit of time to build up your income but there comes a tipping point when the figures become very meaningful very quickly, so stick at it.

As the rest of the people here say.
It all depends on how "lucky" you are. I have many affiliates.. some of them generate "normal" income.. all from a couple of hundred $ per month to nothing.
I just added a new one and my first player there used 20000euro on his first sportsbet. So if you are lucky and get the "big fish" you can make alot.

The quality and number of players you bring in, will decide how much and how soon you start earning. As a beginner affiliate, the number of referrals per month also matter.

Nobody knows. This is very abstract question. Gambling - this is high profitable, but very difficult niche.

When I first started I did not realize how much I could make. I first started making about $1 a month and then after 1 full year got that up to $10. Now I am making $15/month and loving life.

Work hard for the honest affiliate programs and reap the rewards!

Back when I started it took me 5 months to get $100 from my bingo site and probably a year to get up to $1300 a month all niches combined.

it takes some time. I am between 1-2 years in the business now and just beginning to see decent progress with some books. I would take it slow and steady, focus on the long term. Another thing is make sure you read the TOS of each company you are dealing with. There are some companies out there that are con artists and others that are fair and reputable. Keep up quality content, focus on a very user friendly site, stay away from get rich quick schemes and you will be good.

Good Luck and Hang In There!

it depends on how much time you put into it - I have not put so much time in and have generated a couple of 100$ in the past year, nothing major i know. But have just been getting my feet wet. There are affs out there and on here that are earning some serious money (it would be good to be in their shoes) From what I have found it is a case of try - test - do more if works/less if not rinse and repeat. I think once you have got the formula 1 cracked you can do more and earn more. Its tough to get into but worth it in the end (after many hours of devotion)

I thought I join too. I make around $5 K per month from my gambling blog on average. And I've been doing it for three years (doing it full time only for about 9 months). Made less than $1k per month last year and peanuts in the first year ($50 - 100 per month).
SEO is the most important thing in our niche, everything else is secondary, so OP has a great background.

So, because OP has SEO background, let me answer this question from an SEO point of view.
Till your website is not DA 20+ (domain authority) you can't expect to make more than couple of hundreds of bucks a month. After that, between DA 20 - 30, a couple of thousands (this is where I am) and after, especially 40+, the sky's the limit. I can imagine a DA 50+ website like Pokerlistings to make over $1 million per month easily.

Of course, you can't neglect everything else as well (referral traffic, social and paid), they are just secondary, and not negligible.

Not sure I would pick DA as the defining factor. Freecasinogames and BestUKcasinos might have similar DA, but the ROI will probably be very different.

Couple of tips to a new affiliate from me:

1.) Go niche, but one that is still big enough that people care. Website dedicated to live dealer casinos, blackjack or MicroGaming/NetEnt slots will provide You with a return faster than the ultimate guide to online casinos.

2.) Go content heavy - if You can't write Yourself hire a writer and make sure You have a crystal clear plan about what they should do. Don't be brief and ask for an article about BlackJack. Go deep into subheadings and each paragraph.

3.) Don't have free in Your targeted keywords or domain, for the love of God.

4.) Get in touch with as many other affiliates as possible. Offer to do work for them in exchange for a link spot.

5.) Before You start with the content or even registering Your domain name, dig deep into Your competition and try to understand how You can make the best possible site in Your selected niche. Can You do content that adds more value? Can Your design be more user friendly?

6.) Stay up to date and write as many high quality new posts/pages as possible. Of course, highly related to Your niche and overall plan.

7.) Have a clean design with content, toplist tables and a simple sidebar. Make sure the CTA's stand out. Don't turn Your site into a banner farm.

Register a silly .com domain for Your selected niche, such as BlackJackRabbit.com and make a hilarious looking mascot. BOOOM, three years later You will be making $25k a month and thanking Eddie.
