How much time do you spend participating in forums?
Participating in forums is a valuable way to keep up with what is happening in the iGaming industry and finding out the opinions of other webmasters. Forums can be valuable sources of information, alternative perspectives and a place for comradery with others. We have all of that at the GPWA and more. And there are lots of other forums besides the GPWA in which many members participate. Certainly many members here also particpate in CAP and PAW, but there are other forums as well that are either smaller or less focused on the concerns of gambling affiliates.
If you look across all the forums in which you participate, I thought it would be interesting to find out how much time members devote to forum participation. So that is the subject of this week's poll.

I probably spend more time than I should but I have my coffee in the morning here at the GPWA. Kind of like some do with reading the newspaper. I also come here when I need a break and sneak in when I'm at work and the boss isn't looking.
This is the only forum I am a member of. We also have a playre forum for our sites that needs attention. Once in a blue moon I'll visit old friends on ezboard. The only other place I even visit anymore is Casinomeister and even there I'm not a registered member but a lurker. It is valuable to know player complaints etc.
I have no desire to be active in another forum. Not that others shouldn't, thats just me. Mostly because I would spend to much time doing so. Whatever I need help with or need to know is right here. If something comes up, I will ask advice. Forums are very useful whether you are new or seasoned.

Keeping the hours down is a problem. I too only use this forum right now. I just dont have time to get involved other places (like CAP). There are times when I want to just hide from forums to get more work done - but honestly, that is just as counterproductive. I limit myself to no more than an hour per day... Usually more like 30 mins daily.

Mojo has her morning coffee here at the GPWA, but I have my morning tea here
GPWA is my favorite forum although I'm also a member of CAP and CasinoMeister and always try to read them. Usually I spend 7 hours per week in forums.

when I use internet , the first thing ,that I visit, is Gpwa forum.
( I visit gpwa for 7 hours to week. )
Gpwa is my favourite forum.
In other forums about gambling I don't partecipate because some people are boring and they like to fight/litigate and they like to do confusion ......
Here in Gpwa I am happy to stay here, this forum is more organaized of other. There is more fidelization and more customer care.

I spend more than 40 hours per week in forums. I'm constantly on GPWA. Now this is something remarkable for me because I didn't participate in any forums before Casino City became involved in GPWA, but the mode of interaction really grew on me. I'm on a lot for work items; reviewing seals, membership applications, moderating, etc., but the boundaries between work and play aren't solid for me. I check in on the weekends to keep up with posts and checking the forum one last time has become part of my bedtime routine (which is killing me because my internet connection is down at home right now!).
Now that I've gotten into this type of interaction I'm also participating in the forum for DragonCrest, the live action roleplaying game that my avatar is from. I used to lurk a lot there but have started posting some and am really getting into it. It is a funny one because there are game events 6 times a year and the game season ends in October and starts again in April. There is a huge spike in posting around the events and then another spike mid-winter as we all start to getting withdrawal symptoms. Don't tell my boss, but I've been sneaking some time in the game forum from the office.
The thing about working on a forum site the fun of it and friendships that evolve really blur the boundaries between work and play.

I voted 3 to 4 hours a week although sometimes it's a little more. I tend to pop in between jobs when I'm having a coffee, first thing in the morning and just before switching off for the night.

Buzzy spends 11-15 hours a week on the GPWA, depending on how much news there is to report ... but he wishes he had as much time as CityGuard.
