Question How often do you play at online gaming sites?

We're all in the business of promoting online gaming sites, so I thought it would be interesting to ask about how often we play at online gaming sites ourselves.

Think back over the last year, and let us know about how many days in an average month you play at sites online. And be sure to post in this thread what you play and your reasons for playing. Do you play for fun? for money? to become familiar with sites and their games so you can write reviews?

Michael

Up until a couple months ago I was playing poker every single day (huge withdrawal pains if I missed a day). Lately I've taken a break. I never played at all in March and only once in April. I hope to have more time (and energy) to play soon. I really miss the action!

I used to play everyday before becoming an aff, now I'm lucky if I get to play for 'entertainment' more than once a month. Now when I do log on I always notice a new promotion or whatever and can't resist the urge to write about it.

I probably a 10 days a month man. I like to gather lots of info on new games, etc, and take notes with a few days then spent afterwards reviewing games and actually producing articles from my experiences.

I only play when I am doing research for a casino. That's about it. If I played more I'm sure I could "relate" to the players more. lol

I always play for fun money... Too cheap to gamble much for real <lol>. Even when I went to Vegas for CACs, I usually capped my spending at about $200 on gambling.

I typically find about 2 or 3 times per month I'm logged in checking out the new games or adding a new casino to my database.

I would say on an average I player 11 to 12 days out of the month. I'm sure it would be more, but attending college, being a single mom, and running a forum keeps me busy enough. The games I am playing are mostly (if not 99%) private forum games. I don't get to play regular MTT tournaments on the sites near as much as I would like to. Now that school is almost on Summer break hopefully I'll have more time to play public MTT.

I don't really see an option for me, but here is my deal.

I use to play daily when I had a poker skin, before the US pull out, but rarely have time to play these days.

I will try out a new site or a new sponsor, but if they don't supply real money for me to test the site I will only play for fun.

I try to participate in any affiliate events that my sponsors or top sites have when I can.

It would be nice to play online, but I'm always overwhelmed with work and would feel to guilty about spending time to play. If I was a 'gambler/webmaster' then I may feel differently.

I know that many feel that we should play at the casinos in order to test them, but like somoene said "Walmart don't try out everything they sell" so I don't see it as a must for me. I did, however hand pick my staff members due to the fact they they love to play at the casinos and do so regularly and will provide feedback on different sites.

As you know I operate a froum as well as the website, I used to play 4 games a day if not more then play ring games after "work". I have gotten more involved in my site and blog so now I generally only play the games I set up, this accounts to about 25 to 30 games a month, so basically I play every day. It is increasingly difficult to even get to play the one game as I am alway multi-tasking, so I am not in the game as much as I need to in order to really be playing. It is recreation for me, not as an income source, if it were I would not be playing 1 and 2$ buys.

I also play some at casinos before I review them as a test but usually do not deposit. I try to get at least a basic feel for the site before I expose it to any of my visitors and members.
