If yes, is there a specific ratio for a targeted keyword ?![]()
I don't think keyword density really matters much anymore. Any smart search engine would be aware of people doing this to manipulate the results. Keyword density should come from good content on your site that is about the keywords you want to rank for. I think 5-10% is a good and natural amount to have.
That being said, I still believe that header tags still work well to help boost SERP's e.g. H1, H2.
Just make sure it looks natural when you add header tags, and that these header tags will enhance the experience for your visitors![]()
yes..I also don't give more importance for keyword density these days. I concentrate more on the content along with its relevancy..That doesn't mean that you totally ignore the keyword thing..Just put the keywords in the natural way, rather than keeping the keyword density factor in mind..
I'd say keyword density in all the main HTML elements still plays a massive part in general SE algorithms, however my opinion is that it is just a lot more advanced than it once was.
Rather than focusing on the actual exact keyword density, as I always think that this metric has been highly devalued due to spam abuse, I would be focusing on including semantically related keywords to an extent (read up on LSI http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latent_semantic_indexing) - which from what I know would do you a lot better than just the same old keyword stuffing.
Not bee properly involved in the SEO game for a few years however I always focus on including related keywords in my sites and they don't seem to do to bad.

In the context of search engine optimization keyword density can be used as a factor in determining whether a web page is relevant to a specified keyword or keyword phrase. Keyword density needs to be balanced correctly.
uh keyword density is a completely irrelevant metric in terms of SEO. if anyone can point to a study (post 2010) that shows anything to the contrary (in terms of SEO) I'd be shocked.
Yes it's still important, it depends on the site you optimized. Like if you are promoting a big site you will need more keywords to use but if it just in a specific webpage not more than one keyword is just enough.
Of course it is still important. Less important than later years but it stilii counts. I would say that it is a minor factor in the rankings.

just concentrate on writing natuarl content that is writen for the user and not the search engine. of course you will need to include the keyword but that should just appear in the text anyway. make sure your titles and tags etc all include the keyword
