    Default LAC-2017: smth old, smth new




    The London Conference is a mandatory event, if you want to be visible, find new partners and grow your business. It attracts thousands of partners, affiliate programs, payment systems, brokers, intermediaries and simply curious people. This year iGB arranged LAC in a huge exhibition center ExCel London. In the next-door pavilion, ICE Totally Gaming was held. It is another gambling exhibition, to which traditionally casino software for the casino with the stands of the size of a football field. Our conference was smaller but brighter. Where else can you find a giant panda in the crown, drunk griffin with a bottle of beer and a whole truck of toy meerkats?

    Back to business: the conference was productive. We had many warm meetings with old partners – hey guys, we love you! - And many new acquaintances. We handed our traditional promotional gifts: panties with prints, bags, mini bottles of alcohol and exclusive gifts to the old friends: engraved whisky glasses. Also we arranged two lotteries for our partners:
    - On the first day we raffled the 25 years old whisky. Our affiliate with media traffic, one of those who often appears in the top, got it.
    - On the second day we gave away iPhone 7 256 gb. Our charming account manager from AskGamblers won it. On the photo you can see the winner with a prize and our promo models.

    Now a bit more about business. Based on conversations and speakers' topics we can define such common trends in 2017 affiliate marketing:

    - Burst of interest to the Asian market. Longbao and Japanese localization of Casino-X and Joycasino had an unexpected demand: a lot of people said, that they found a way to acquire traffic or are actively looking for it: they do website translations, test the PPC, have interest in SMM and in video content.
    - The combination of several traffic channels. Times, when the webmaster could create a website, optimize it and wait for the future results, have passed away. SEO specialists are actively buying ads, combined with SMM and streams, while media buyers create websites at this time.
    - Search for alternatives on Russian market. RKN is cruel, but no one gives up! There is a focus on retargeting and retaining users. Partners gather databases for mailings, use push notifications – and then again collect the community on the website, like it was done at the end of 2000 decade. The opposite trend is "rapid earnings method": affiliates launch a dozen of simple websites with reviews, that hold some part in search results.
