In the last year what is the longest time you have been offline?

Well, since I'm on vacation now, and Internet time is pretty expensive on the cruise I'm on (USD $0.65 per minute), I've actually been offline the past few days for longer than anytime in the past year. So, for this week's question I thought it would be interesting to ask folks what is the longest they have been offline in the past year. For me, this year, 5 days is the record since I've been on the cruise ship that many days now, and this is my first time online while away.

How about you? Tell us how long you've been offline, and be sure to share what you were doing that kept you away.

P.S. My longest in recent history was a couple weeks vacationing in Italy three years ago. Without high-speed access, I gave up quickly. Besides, the Italian countryside in Tuscany, and the wine, just could not compete at the time.

I am sorry to say I not been away from my precious internet for more than a day in the past year - very sad.

Four days is my max, I had back surgery and was in the hospital back in January and my wife would not let me have my laptop. (I was sure I could hack the hospital wi-fi).

Was so happy to be back home and able to have a bit of time online.

Last summer I went on a 13 day cross country road trip - no computer - 13 days! After the first withdrawal pains subsided it was bearable most of the time. Other than that one instance, 2 or 3 days max.

I usually have a one week hiatus - but that didn't happen last year. And now, with internet on my phone, I'd need to be in a foreign country or area with no coverage to be truly unplugged.

I am going to the outer banks (North carolina) in a month... I'll be mostly unplugged that week.

Longest time I've been offline was a week, but only because I had the flu. If it wasn't for that the longest would only be a day max. I also have the net on my iPhone and it makes it really hard to "unplug", but, also makes the train ride home at night go much much quicker!

I have missed working at my computer for a couple of days max. this year. Reason being I am 8 months pregnant (with my first baby), and so I have what they call preggie brain...consumed with my state of becoming a Mom. So many things are happening in my life right now and so many things (private matters) that need to get done before baby is born, and unfortunately I have been less and less productive. Hopefully I can get back into the swing of things soon after the birth, but from what I hear it will take a couple of months before I get "organized" again.

It would be hard for me to spend more than 3 days offline. 4 Days would be impossible! lol..

I went on vacation last January with my son, and I was able to get online once a day. Every time I felt like the internet was a miracle.. lol.

Because of flu and bronchitis I had to spend around 10 days in a local hospital. And I decided not to make any use of internet access there. So I was offline for those days.

I also am the same as Anthony.............not been away from my PC for any great length of time. Too busy getting all my projects together and them maybe think of having a couple days away on my bike (Alone!!!!!!!)

My max was 3 days. It's not the fact that I'm addicted to the internet or can't leave my sites alone for a week or two. It's more to do with the need to delete as much spam mail as possible daily before it becomes a boring task that's going to take hours!

You should try it- 100% family - not even cell phone...

Once a 180 days - taking 5-7 days offfffffffffffff ...
