    The latest laws

    Hi everyone

I've been reading a lot about the laws and so forth and I think that all it has done is confuse the hell out of me.

As an affiliate should I be worried about my website attracting USA players or is it just too up in the air to worry about now?

I have a disclaimer that I will put on my website stating to check the laws in your area, but is anyone going to the extent of blocking USA visitors?

I think im thinking really stupid and possibly too much on the subject, but I've read so much conflicting info.

    Any suggestions?

Good questions. I'm not going to try to answer them because I'm not a lawyer.

Michael -- this would be a great time to post the video presentation from the lawyer that was given to us at the GPWA conference in Las Vegas in November 2008.

I would certainly be interested in seeing a video on a lawyer's professional opinion in regards to affiliates in the US sending players to US sites.
If at all possible, please share.

Just wanted to input some suggestions here :

    - First, you should be aware that (if you are not already) there are certain states that do not accept US players : Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, Nevada, New York, New Jersey, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington, and Wisconsin.
-You should be clear on your website and explain to players (US residents) that
the measure from the government does nothing to change the players' right to bet online. The players won't be condemned for gambling online.

    - As an affiliate, the law DOES NOT forbid you in promoting online casinos. You are only marketing a casino. You are not involved in managing the casino.
