I have my dedicated server with UK Based Coreix.net - They are superb. Offering very fast tech support service if and when required. Pricey but well worth every penny.

OK, now you have server in UK. But if you advertise non-EU gambling operators, it will be illegal in few months. What then?
Are you going to move your hosting outside UK or you think it will not be observed?

As we ourselves are orienting on migrating from the netherlands (terrible jurisdiction) this topic is of particular interest to me. Where to migrate?
Of course (1) (future) legality is the most important consideration, closely followed by (2) ease and accessibilty of support sysadmin contacts and (3) speed of connection relative to our location (which is Western Europe).
As I understand things, but please correct me if my assumptions are wrong, the legality of our enterprises is defined solely by the location of the servers. And thus not by location of the persons actually running the website nor by the residence of the domain name registrars.
If this is so, it would be tremendously helpful to set up a database of jurisdictions where (online) gambling is more or less legal, and, more to the point, of hosting companies with decent english-speaking support.

This is an area I am currently monitoring. There are viable workarounds which will enable me to keep a server in the UK.

I run my sites out of Canada, and I have had no problem with it....The Kanawake Gaming Commission (or whatever it is called) is run out of Canada as welll, which provides licenses for many online gaming sites, so I think Canada would be a safe bet for you.

One slight distinction here -- the Kahnawake Gaming Commission is based in Kahnawake, a sovereign native tribal territory, so I wouldn't use it as an indicator about Canadian law.

Very true! Native land may not be regulated under Canadian Law. But to further my point, I use a Canadian hosting company for my sites, and online gaming (playing) is legal in Canada, so I dont think you would have a problem hosting a portal... and there has been no talk or rumors about any laws going through congress about banning online gaming here in Canada anytime soon.

Hosting in th US
Hi All,
My sites are currently hosted at Hostica.com, they are in the US, will they have to stop my site being hosted there? If they do, would hosting in South Africa do? (my home country)
