Meet the AGD Team in Vegas!

Great news everyone -- the entire AGD team will be in Vegas next week! We hope you'll join us for an "AGD meetup" on Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at 5:00 PM.

    Date: Tuesday, November 17, 2009
    Time: 5:00 PM
Location: Dos Caminos Lounge (Palazzo Casino)

    Hope to see you there!

Note: This is not a sponsored event. If you want food or drinks, you'll have to buy it yourself -- or sweet-talk someone into buying it for you.

Despite my previous intentions of attending this event I cannot make it. A real shame! I was so looking forward to it, I am sorry.

But feel free to have a great time anyway lol. My time is required with my family.

If you want food or drinks, you'll have to buy it yourself -- or sweet-talk someone into buying it for you.
Well...good thing I am not attending you be broke Engineer lol.

    Thanks

Sorry to hear that Peter! I was really looking forward to meeting you. Especially after hearing from some of the ladies who have met you before. I understand though and your priorities are straight on. Next time!

I am thrilled to be able to meet the awesome AGD team and make new friends too!

Wish I could make it but sadly, I have other commitments so will have to pass.

I look forward to reading the reports though and hearing all the stories.

Sorry Terry. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Either that or it comes back to haunt you down the road.

I'll miss you but catch you at one of these days.

We will be in London though if anyone wants to meet up... Booth 93.

Well, I was sick over the weekend, but, fortunately, I was feeling much better on Monday, when I flew to Vegas, and even better today.

Andy, I'm looking forward to meeting you in person this evening!

For anyone who is at G2E today, be sure to make a few minutes to stop by stand #3296 for the APCW, GPWA, and Casino City.

Some of this depends on whether you're renting a car or not...

    If you have a car:

Red Rock Canyon -- Great hiking and biking, gorgeous scenery and really close by

Mojave National Preserve -- It will take you about an hour to drive here, and you have to love the desert, but if you do, you'll like it.

Hoover Dam -- Around 40 minutes (driving) away, it's a real architectural marvel

If you don't have a car:

The Lion Habitat at MGM Grand
The Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace
Eifel Tower at Paris Las Vegas (best at sunset)
    Gondola rides at the Venetian
Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at the Mirage
Pool at the Golden Nugget (downtown) -- It has water slide that goes through a shark tank.
Dancing fountains at the Bellagio -- they start around 2 p.m., and they look better at night, but they're still pretty cool.
Food. Vegas has outstanding restaurants. A true boon for all foodies.

    Great suggestions Vin!

I was gonna recommend Star Trek The Experience, but they closed it (big mistake) as it was one of the best things for non-gaming folks to do in Las Vegas. Hope you have a good trip Judy.

Geez Judy, I would have loved to meet you finally but am leaving today.

Mojo, I would have loved to chat a bit more with you but was glad to finally meet you anyways.

The AGD meeting was great as was the GPWA meeting. People from the entire affiliate community were represented and it was really good to see everyone all in one room. Hopefully next year even more of us can make it.

I love Vegas but 4 days of it are exactly my fill. Looking forward to being back home later today...

Thanks! I loved Star Trek The Experience. It was easily one of the best attractions in Vegas, and it's a real shame they've closed it. I'm hearing rumors though that they're going to reopen it as part of the Fremont Street experience in downtown Vegas.
