The Merge Network has recently been accepting new American poker players after a four-month delay. Not surprisingly, traffic has jumped at Merge sites within the last week. According to PocketFives.com, traffic has increased 15% to a seven-day running average of 1,160 real money ring game players.
From PocketFives:
The network is in a dead heat with iPoker’s Italian site for the 11th largest average worldwide. During peak hours, traffic on the Merge Gaming Network approaches 2,200 cash game players.
Text found on PokerScout explains how the site arrived at an estimate of 15% growth: “Merge Gaming Network gained 7% after opening its doors once again to U.S. players. The much-anticipated move came mid-week, so the 7% weekly gain only captures part of the upswing. Day-by-day comparisons indicate that the true traffic increase has been closer to 15% so far. Merge has now moved back in front of Bodog to reclaim the title of the largest U.S.-friendly player pool.”
