Minimum standards for getting accepted into affiliate programmes?

I am currently building a betting site. I have a lot of content to add yet but am keen to start applying to affiliate programmes so that I can actually see how things look/function on my website.

What are the golden rules for getting accepted into affiliate programmes?

    Thanks

Oh really? I thought it would be more difficult than that, but I guess, at the end of the day an affiliate programme would have to be kind of nuts to turn away traffic - no matter how little!

A few years ago I was doing some web marketing, and I seem to remember that in order to get accepted to a CPA network (not necessarily gambling related) you often needed to have a conversation with e CPA manager on the phone to talk a little about your website and where your traffic came from. I think this was mainly because they didn't like traffic which was incentivised, and preferred instead natural traffic from SEO and advertising.

That's the best thing about the affiliate world, its really easy going Affiliate programs will always accept you, and you get paid based on your performance.

If your traffic is low though, some affiliate programs may email you and ask you about it, or they might ask you for better positions on your site. If that's the case, just be honest and tell them that your website is still new, and your still working on increasing your traffic.

Best of luck with your betting site

This is true of the gambling affiliate programs also.

In fact, many of the programs have terms that you can NOT send them incentivised traffic or you risk losing your account and revenues generated.

If an affiliate program is not small affiliate friendly (especially small US Affiliate), then they are NOT Affiliate Friendly!

I would not go as far to say "all" accept. Some programs I had a hard time setting up with.
