Mobile Sports/Poker/Casinos
I'm a big fan of mobile gaming... but surprised to see it slow on the uptake. I can only find a handful of mobile options for gamblers... And the places that do have it, don't make a big deal about it.
Anyone able to add to these lists? (I'll update this post as we go?) All I ask is the names be somewhat mainstream and not obscure little operations.
This is just a list... Not recommended or preferred by either players of affiliates
Sports:
BetCris/Bookmaker
Paddypower
Victor Chander
Ladbrokes
bwin
Poker:
Pokerroom
Ultimatebet
Casino:
Wild Jack
Slotland

The best platform that I have been able to see for mobile gaming as to be Phantom Fiber. They are the ones that built the backbone for BetCris and a number of the other services who are offering mobile betting. It is a real shame this technology has not seemed to take off, it is something I had high hopes for a few years back. I think it is only a matter of time, as mobile bandwidth becomes more reliable, networks speed up and become more affordable, and the devices become more user friendly.
I have been sitting on a couple of domains for the past few years, cellbets.com and cellphonebetting.com, in hopes these would do nicely for organic search one mobile betting gained popularity, but so far it has been only a fringe player.

We have relaunched our mobile site last week, its sportsbook betting, fully valid xhtml site.
Players can sign up via the web on their mobile phone, deposit via Credit and Debit card, place sports bets and withdraw via credit and debit card.
Username and password for mobile works on the main site and vice versa.
Affiliate tracking links to mobile site also work perfectly as well.
If you need help setting up links etc let me know.
Cheers
Fintan

Hi Matted,
The mobile industry does seem a little slow on the uptake. There are few merchants that offer mobile solutions. mFortune has been our mobile merchant that is setting itself apart especially in the UK with a pay by phone bill feature.
As of right now, there are 4 games available (roulette, blackjack, fruit machine and HiLo Poker) with a couple upcoming in a few days with the beginning of August only 2 days away!
We are always eager to hear your thoughts....

When I first started looking into mobile gaming - it seems the casinos are the ones looking the most to adopt... Yet - when I thought about it, it seemed really geared towards sports, skill gaming (games like chess, which are played out turn by turn), and possibly poker.
To me, I just don't know how much "experience" I could get from casino stuff on a cell phone. The sounds and graphics play more of a role for me, and those things are lagging behind mobile technologies - mostly constrained by the small footprint of the device.

I can't see serious sports bettors turning to mobile gambling.
Being at a sporting event is great - but you do NOT get a great view of the overall action when at the event. You go for the atmosphere and the fan thing ... not to get a better look at the action.
When betting it is far better to watch it on TV, and have a PC with comparitive odds quotes, statistics and events available to hand.
Mobile sports might be a niche thing for fan bets I guess .. a quick tenner at the pub or at halftime.
But I beleive that serious sports punters will have taken a lot more on board well before the game starts and will have already taken their position.

I see now that Victor Chandler has a moblie and Bodog too. Britesare has Wild Jack Mobile that just launched a new spanish version (can you say blog espaniol? I can't.... maybe my bi-lingual daughter will accept a pittance to write a spanish blog for me.
Add also, Aces Royal, (the affiliate support sucks) and Ladbrokes. for revs, mfortune is a winner, no US but I don't mind, GBP converts to USD!

Updated the top post in the thread. Bodog, to my knowledge is mobile casino only.
Gooner - I agree 100%... But most sportsbooks aren't aiming at the pro's, but the squares. You are at the game and want to place a bet. You are at work and get a tip on a good bet. Or you just want to make a wager on your favorite team. These are things a pro wouldn't consider, but happen fairly frequently among those amateurs who do it for fun and excitement more than financial gain.
