Righthaven, also known as everyone's favorite "copyright troll," might be on life support. According to multiple media outlets, including Law.com, the firm's legal strategy might unravel due to a defendant Righthaven unsuccessfully tried to sue.
From Law.com:
It may be too early to write the final obituary for copyright troll Righthaven LLC, but we're sharpening our pencils. On Friday Wayne Hoehn, one of the defendants that Righthaven has unsuccessfully sued for copyright infringement, asked a Las Vegas federal district court judge to allow him to seize Righthaven's assets in order to enforce a judgment he won in August. Righthaven's legal strategy has already mostly unravelled; now the company may be stripped of its remaining assets over a relatively paltry $34,000 in legal fees.
