    Most Profitable Sportsbetting Events

    Hey Folks,

As part of our Sports Betting Week feature on the Income Access Blog, I thought it would be interesting to ask anyone involved in promoting sportsbooks which betting events are the most profitable, either in terms of number of new players referred or shear amount of the bets. Here are the major ones I have (biased towards US and UK players), let me know if I've forgotten any.

    Cheltenham / Grand National
    The Ashes
    Premier League Championship
    Final Four
    Super bowl
Euro Cup / World Cup Football
    Olympics
    Champions League
    NBA Finals
Wimbledon / US Open / French Open

Not sure if it's against the rules to vote on your own poll, but I cast my vote for Cheltenham and Grand National as an affiliate manager facing the UK market, these events are excellent for bringing in new punters.

I think it definitely depends on your market, for UK/European facing bookies I've seen huge volumes of wagering and revenue for the Grand National, Premier League Championship, and World Cup.

For US facing (which I've never worked on) I would imagine that the Superbowl would clearly be the top event.

    Superbowl
NCAA College Basketball playoffs, but the whole 64 (well 65) game series, but just final four. Bracket contests, sweet 16 etc etc. So more then final four though I voted that as it was best option. Of course my niche for sports is Asian market...
    NBA Playoffs
World Series, might have missed it in poll....(Baseball)
