Default Move items in a website

I have articles that do well in Google. If I move these items in my web site, if I change the organization (structure) of the site, what the impact in Google?

    Minimal?
    Important?
Important in the short term but things will recover in a few weeks or months?

Thank you very much in advance for your insight.

It depends how you how change the code. What changes are you making? If you change the site structure you can have a good or bad impact. Check your content keywords in google webmaster tools and make sure that whatever changes you make you are keeping them constant.

If your article url's are going to change then redirect the old url's to the new url's. If you're using WordPress then I recommend a plugin called Redirection.

Use wordpress plugin "redirect". But you must know that the page you want to redirect will loose ranking... If you can... leave the page how it is and so the permalink.

I think the op is changing site structure and not necessarily the title/url of the actual article itself. So changing a url from xxwww.mysite.com/casinos/whatever-casino-review/ to xxwww.mysite.com/casinos/usa-casinos/whatever-casino-review/ will not affect page ranking if you use a 301 redirect.

The Redirection plug-in will create a 301 redirect.
