My "new" site . Your opinion ...

Hi guys ,
Long time since my original post about my site here http://www.gpwa.org/forum/affiliate-...te-188224.html

For several reasons i stopped developing the website for a while but came back with a vengeance now i have teamed up with some guys and my new site is now up with the same domain but totally different look and features. http://www.masterspokerclub.com/ . We are still in "soft launch" and testing some of the features .

I would like to know your opinions before we launch "oficially".I prefer to explain anything that you may come up with than to describe it now so i don't influence you beforehand.

Hi I think your site looks really good, and especially like your logo.

My advice for improvements would be to keep the fonts sizes consistent and space them in a way that is easy to read.

Also the New User / Log In buttons are a bit cut off on the right hand side.

But overall very nice site, well done

Thanks so much for your feedback.I´m aware of the buttons being cutt and trying to fix it. The thing is it only happens in some browsers/resolutions but we are on it

I like the poker news section on your site, I left a message there. I would say that you have added a lot of information for your players. I always like to see in poker sites a link with tournaments ( freerolls & buy-ins), perhaps this is something that you could add.

btw , we have just launched also the ALPHA mobile version at http://m.masterspokerclub.com/
and tried to keep it as simple and clean as possible . the Blog section still has some news in spanish (for testing purposes only) and the Live Reports section is not active yet. the idea with that section on the mobile will be so the players can actually check what´s going on at the tournaments they are playing live on real time. chipstacks,players remaining etc ...

The buttons are still coming up cut off for me, I took a screen grab in firefox so you can see below:

Thanks a lot for the feedback again we are having a bit of trouble woth the buttons issue but are trying to fix it now.

I like this quite a bit. Jquery mobile is always a good choice. I would be interested to see how this cleaner and affiliate-link-lighter version of your site works.

I think the site is very good but i do have a problem visually with the adverts down the extreme left and right side of the screen for PokerXe.

Is it supposed to be one advert that is 'cut in half' and displayed at either edge? Aside from that, because this advert is also on a white background and with no line or barrier delineating the edges of your main content area and the advert area. The result of this is that I find my eye getting 'dragged all over the place' when I'm taking in what's on your page and deciding what to read next or where to click - it's a bit overwhelming.

But this is just layout, I like the volume of content that you have now and it seems good quality.

I understand your point about the side banners. I also depends a lot on the resolution that you are using.I am going to do some tests with different formats because as you say the idea is to blend in without distracting from the content. Your´e 100% right on this

Regarding the content itself thanks for your words, we try to provide a different and personalized approach instead of the typical "xxxx won the y tournament" news .
