Default N.J. woman claims online gambling debt is due to identity theft

A New Jersey woman is accused of concocting a bogus identity theft claim in a bid to hide nearly $10,000 in debt she allegedly racked up through online gambling.

It's funny, The Buzz has never heard of an identity thief *winning* money at an online casino ...

It's pretty sad, but this is just the reverse of the standard scam used to claim more bonuses than a single account would be entitled to. It never ceases to impress me the ingenuity of some of the scams that go on in the world of online gambling.

Thanks for sharing! I have heard many stories about players claiming that someone used their casino account or personal data when they lose money in a casino and want to get it back. My friend once told me that he heard of a woman who deposited money to a casino and then contacted the customer support and wanted to withdraw it without wagering it, claiming that she was addicted to gambling and they shouldn't allow her to register there.
