Need Some Advice About Website Issue

Can anyone tell me why the top tabs on Casinofan are directing me to these type of links? http://www.casinofan.com/index.php/c.../jreviews/blog

Is it easily fixable? The link should say http://www.casinofan.com.blog but instead it includes a bunch of extra nonsense that makes the page look ugly

If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know. Could I have done this somehow by adding in new content to the news and blog section or is it something else?

My first guess might be that the link needs to absolute instead of relative....

In other words, instead of using /blog/ maybe it should be http://www.casinofan.com/blog/

Looking at your post above, if you have in fact used .blog try changing it to /blog/

Not really sure if you need the trailing slash but the link does work with it.

As you are using Joomla it is probably a component that is dong the redirects.

I have just looked at your site and links seems to be working now, has the problem been fixed?

That's the problem. They were like that and then without anything being done they changed. It's ok though, someone is going to fix it next week since it is beyond me.

I still see the problem. I personally can't stand joomla and the way it handles redirects but you may be able to fix this with a small change in the .htaccess file if you can post that here. It is most likely something to do with one of the settings with your SEF (Search Engine Friendly) URLs plugin if you have one installed. Next time use wordpress

Thanks for the useful info universal and graham. Still trying to get it fixed but the most annoying part is that it is an off and on problem which makes it harder to show the people who can fix it. XD

For sure use wordpress over joomla especially if your site is fairly static

Another vote to use Wordpress (hands down) - over Joomla. And if you ever want it to be a lot more complicated - then Drupal IMO.

It seems that the site has been fixed already. Ive seen the site and the loading time seems to be longer in my web browser. Although the design seems fine as visitor's point of view is concern. I would also vote to use Wordpress in your blog for it is easy to access and navigate. Or if you are sticking to Joomla you are to learn more of that.

The problem with wrong URL inside the horizontal menu is due to the component you are using to manage that menu (suckerfish dropdown menu or something like that).

I'm pretty expert in Joomla 1.5 so if you need support contact me via pm.
