I am in complete agreement Leopold and i like your analogy, it is very true. I got an unbelievable response from what I took to be a well-regarded affiliate program.

I really think that to make this thread worthwhile, we need a sticky post at the beginning of it so that we can list all of the NetRefer programs that do not display full stats. Otherwise, this drifts off into Cyber Space which a lot of these programs seem to rely upon.

Can an Admin arrange this on this thread? That way we can keep it updated and everyone is aware of who shows full data and who does not.

Either that or lets create a thread where we list all programs that do not display deposit data and other vital aspects that an affiliate requires.

As this is not just a NetRefer problem, I would be very interested to see all programs that don't show this very important information.

It does wind me up a bit, when I see what the program is capable of showing but for some reason (obviously dodgy) does not show stats.

It is a pet peeve of mine when I see deposit stats as 0. It does affect what kind of marketing strategy I plan to do on site.

The #1 reason people lie is to hide the truth. What does that say about programs omitting deposits and other data from affiliate stats???!!!

The thing is that even deposit data can be 'adjusted'.

Ultimately the operators decide which data they send to NetRefer (or any other stats provider). NetRefer simply imports the data and displays it to the affiliate. It seems the operators also decide WHEN they send the data to NetRefer and as you know NetRefer stats update only once per day. Some programs send their data feed early in the morning .. some around noon. Plenty of time to do 'adjustments'.

Having said that, I do trust operators more that choose to display deposit data AND update their stats early in the morning.

There should be full transparency otherwise what are they hiding? You should always be able to validate the information. II also agree with TheGooner, expose them ....

Had an AM at Buffalo try to tell me deposits have no bearing on Net Revenue. Made contact after almost $19K had been dropped. Of that $19K, a bit over $10K was unaccounted for. Fees and what not add up, but not to this extent. Ended up with $359 commission. And what happened to the $10K+? Never got answered. Was I screwed out of $2,500+ commission? Probably!

Thank you, Anthony, for taking this step. I think though that it should extend to all Affiliate programs on the GPWA but this is definitely a start.

For what it's worth - I spoke to RP Affiliates who apparently stand by their decision not to show deposit data to revenue share affiliates. They do say they display it to CPA and Hybrid plans - just not to rev share affiliates.

I spoke to IPS Affiliates who were going to speak to Net Refer and come back to me. Nothing has transpired yet.

I spoke to the lovely Laura at Mr. Affiliate who promised to take this up with her team and return. I did speak to her last and late in the afternoon.

Hopefully, the action taken by the GPWA can convince a few of these programs to be more transparent.

NET REFER CHARGE EXTRA IT SEEMS

I have just had an interesting conversation with the Mr. Affiliate representative. It seems that Net Refer charge programs extra for Deposit Data to be shown for Rev Share affiliates.

This data is shown as the standard for CPA & Hybrid clients, but it seems Net Refer want an extra pound of flesh when asked for this data for rev share affiliates. Operators have to pay to have this integrated for affiliates.

Surely the provision of this data is the sole reason for their existence? Am I wrong in thinking that? I mean, if they can not provide this kind of data within their basic charges, why are operators using them?

    Arrow NetRefer's Affiliate Interface

    Dear All,

We’ve been following this thread closely and would like to address the queries being discussed:

    - NetRefer is committed in providing operators and affiliates accurate and transparent data at all times. From a product perspective, operators have the functionality to filter out depositing customer data from the reports if the respective affiliate is not rewarded on deposits. This is a system wide setting that can be set to either on/off by the operator. It cannot be applied to specific affiliates.

    - NetRefer processes all the daily data received from its clients (operators). NetRefer does not charge ‘extra’ to display more / less data (including deposit data). If the deposit data is sent in the daily data transfer by the operators, it is duly reflected and displayed accurately in the affiliate interface. (as noted in the 1st bullet point, the operator has the ability not to display deposit data for the criteria specified above.)

We trust that the above addresses the topic in question. We are happy to discuss any further queries.

The decision you guys have taken to allow operators to hide probably the most important stat of all has now put Netrefer in the position of bottom ranked affiliate software as most affiliates think it's a back door to steal.. there is no good reason to allow it apart from hide the true value an affiliate receives and I think you will start to see more and more complaints

Neville thank you for taking the time to respond to this thread. From reading your response I am making a number of assertions.

    When you say
From a product perspective, operators have the functionality to filter out depositing customer data from the reports if the respective affiliate is not rewarded on deposits.
This essentially means to me as a Rev Share affiliate that if I am not seeing deposit data, the affiliate program is intentionally not showing it to me. Does it also mean they can manipulate that data? Is the operator able to change data in any way? How is data transmitted between the software provider, the operator and the affiliate software? I am assuming its all via API

NetRefer does not charge ‘extra’ to display more / less data (including deposit data). If the deposit data is sent in the daily data transfer by the operators, it is duly reflected and displayed accurately in the affiliate interface.
If deposit data was not sent by the operator, then how would earnings be calculated for affiliates? So that to me is a given. Deposit data must be being sent to Netrefer(We Hope). Essentially what you are saying is that the facility is there to show all deposit data to partners at no extra cost which is very pleasing. We can now ask NetRefer programs that state it costs extra to come to this thread where you state this is not the case.

That brings me to my last point - how do we know that the operator is sending in all data to NetRefer ? What if there is a particularily big day and the operator decided to " trim costs" for that day. How does Netrefer ensure that this does not occur.

I look forward to hearing your response as it has so far for me been an eye opener. Those programs that state they can not show the data - well to me it seems to be a case of WILL NOT SHOW THE DATA

    Kindly see our feedback below:

    - You may not see any deposit data (depending if setting is set on/off) only if you are not rewarded on deposits. Otherwise you will see all deposit data. The system does not allow you to filter deposits if you are rewarded on this criteria. Our system does not allow manipulation of data in any form. The data is processed and goes through several sanity checks to ensure its integrity before it is imported and displayed on the interface.
    - We are directly integrated to the operator’s data providers or DWH thus receiving the data from the source. If the data does not 'pass' the integrity checks it is rejected and resent by the data provider / DWH.
    - There are different types of data transfer protocol methods including API's.

I trust that the above addresses your queries. Feedback received directly from affiliates is always valued with the objective to provide you with the best possible user experience. We have a number of exciting enhancements to the affiliate interface in our pipeline.

PO_NetRefer: "NetRefer does not charge ‘extra’ to display more / less data (including deposit data)."

I'm I reading this wrong or is someone not telling the truth?

Then to clarify the discussion a bit for some:

PO_NetRefer;"We are directly integrated to the operator’s data providers or DWH thus receiving the data from the source."

As in, the server where they (operator) put the data on after they (operator) checked and corrected it?

In other words, the data the operator delivers to you is the data the operator wants you to display to affiliates? You have no direct access to real time deposit/withdrawal data?

If the operator can hide the deposit data then there is a valid reason of concern regarding data manipulation as the operator can allocate deposits to their own "master accounts", know as skimming the deposit amounts. DATA set 1 the original / DATA set 2 the upload with the reallocation of deposits.

Netrefer can not check this IMO unless the affiliate program is under an audit.
