    Default NetRefer's charges

    Hi,
I'm a new member who would like to hear about members' opinions/experiences of NetRefer's opaque charges for the Betfair affiliate scheme. Although I'm on a 30% revenue share deal, my commission earnings regularly hover at just over 20%. Betfair's rep (Kieran) claims to have no control over NetRefer's deductions, so I would like to know if other website owners are also having their commission income being consistently reduced by what looks like pure skimming.

The same happens at myaffiliates at Bovada, who are reliable.
Just be happy you get 20%+. Soon they will give you a finger.

From what I can glean, rev share is never going to be on 100% of the revenue as there's a percentage deduction applied for POCT etc & other 'costs' before your commission is calculated. The actual true revenue share percentage is going to be far less than the quoted number on all programs due to this, however the percentage deduction can vary massively between programs.

I've seen some that deduct 40% before applying the rev share, so in that case a hypothetical 30% deal would actually be 18% of the original total.

Not looked at betfair in isolation but your numbers suggest it's around 33% for them which is probably somewhere in the middle.

There are still some, where rev share is rev share. Like I mentioned SIA. I believe they have no deductions which is actually even more scary because they are on IA.

I also think the deductions at 1xbet (proprietary affiliate software?) are very low is some.

5dimes also pay true rev share, so their 20% basic deal is not that bad after all.

Agreed, there are STILL some programs who actually stand-by paying the rev-share % they advertise. EG - Deckmedia, Mainstreet affiliates, and a few others too. DM pays me 30% and that's exactly what I get.

Some may think 20, 25 or even 30% sucks but let me just say, 60% rev-share is fake.

Take Video Slots Aff program as an example. Those on 40% are lucky to earn a lowly 5.5% (if that) in true commission value.

It is my opinion that those companies that offer higher than 30/35% revenue share commission end up shaving you down the road.

You can take a look at AGD - they post test of affiliate programs deductions and you can see what % is the real rev share you are getting.

Affiliate Guard Dog is an institution in our indsutry. I strongly recommed this site for every new-commers in the industry. Just all remeber what a massive investigation they made regarding Videoslots and showing how "massive"we can win from there - not over 5-8% after all the "small" deductions.

Thanks for everyone's helpful replies. They confirm my suspicion that I should be happy with my 20-25% while I have it. Like many others, Betfair tried to unilaterally close my affiliate account, but I dug my heels in and have managed to keep it going, thanks to a trickle of new referrals.

Overall I find NetRefer incredibly unreliable, as the stats jiggle about a lot and there is also a strange hiatus at the beginning of each month when nothing seems to be tracked.
