    New m

    Hi All

First up I want to say that I am not going to be spamming this forum. I have a good knowledge of SEO and Gambling. I will be contributing to discussion in a positive way.

I want to add a sig link so that people can check out my site if they want. What are the reqirements for adding a sig link.

    Thanks all

    First, welcome to the GPWA.

There is a posting requirement for sigs and posting of any links.

In the interim, take a look around and read/respond to threads that interest you.

If getting your link posted on the forum is more important to you than the information we have here, well let's just say you will be disappointed in the results.

Thanks for that. My sig link is not the main reason I am here but at the same time I never overlook a potential traffic source

While I would like to say something positive in welcoming you to the forum just the shear mentioning and desire to be posting solely for a link deters me from wanting to offer and help out with my seo knowledge of which combined with Universal4's overall knowledge can be extremely deadly for any new or experienced webmaster in the field.

If we were to tell you, you can still be a part of the GPWA but you would never be allowed to post a promotional OBL, would you still be willing to be a member?

You need to relax a little and read what I have written. I am not posting for a sig link I am here because I am in the gambling sector and have a great deal to add. I merely wanted to know how many posts I have to make before I can add one. That saves me from having to go to the edit sig page every day only to see I can't have one. I notice you have a number of sig links so you must agree with me that they are worth having??? What’s wrong with asking???

You also shouldn’t assume that everyone you talk to is wet behind the ears and needs your, how did you put it? "extremely deadly knowledge".

So I don't need your positive welcome. Thanks but I am good all the same!

Even if your motivation for joining is not fuelled by gaining a link, that type of question will surely raise eyebrows and suspicion given your post count and the fact you have jack all in your profile - these combined raise a red flag.

    Some friendly food for thought!

    Cheers

OK I will make a deal with you all. If you ever find me posting spam or giving rubbish advice just so that I can gain a link then point it out and I will come back to this thread to say you were right

The reason I want the link is that I have something valuable to promote that people in the industry really need.

It doesn't require link privileges to add a url eg - yourmysterydomainwhichtheindustryreallyneeds.com

So really...your intention for being here has nothing to do with what you stated but has everything to do with promoting something...

OK I am locking this thread.

lewisdb, if the only reason you are here is to get your link in front of people because you have a product you think we all just can't live without, then the reason you stated you were here is doesn't match wanting to sell us something.

If in fact you plan on contributing to discussions we welcome that, and you shouldn't be so worried about gaining the link posting rights. (it will come with time and involvement)
