New poker blog design review

I have been working on redesigning my poker blog:

Before I can really feel the work complete I need to here what you guys think.

It's easy to read and navigate . As far as appearance goes, the sidebar looks mighty wide to me . Just my opinion, I'm no "expert" by any means .

Check out the SEO plugins for WP as it looks like you are not using any of them.

Thanks for the replies.

As for the SEO, I have installed "All in all SEO" plug in. But I have had some troubles adding a better title to the frontpage because of the design. Will have a look at it again.

Can you see other places where SEO is neglected?

Hi I found your blog quite interesting.

In reference to your question about sites where SEO is neglected.


I would suggest that you type in a keyword and go to the last page of the search engine results. That will give you an idea of people who have SEO’d poorly. Conversely if you type in a keyword and examine the first page you will find examples of people that have SEO’d well. >>


Hopefully with some tinkering you will see an improvement in your SEO.

I like the design of your blog, very clean and easy to navigate.
I simply would decrease the number of post showed on first page....
For SEO: try the wordpress plugin "google xml sitemap generator".

Nice and clean look.
But IMO i would move the search bar to the top of the sidebar and id also bring the highest ranked articles section up to the top as that could generate more users browning around your blog reading more of your posts!

I personally like the whole feel of the site. Good job done with it. Only thing I wanted to tell is to fix the banner which will make the site look better

The content, the links, and the navigation is good. One thing you must take into consideration is the blogs design. I think you need to customize your page. Since it focus entirely on poker, make a poker-like theme though and ad some banner for an advertising purposes.
