Oscarsson may have been target of a hit

The New York Post is reporting that Andreas Oscarsson, the founder of PokerListings who was found shot to death in Sweden last week, might have been the target of an alleged hit.

The newspaper even uses the word "assassinated" to describe Oscarsson's death, saying that there "was no evidence that there had been any kind of dispute or that the home had been robbed."

Poker News Daily posted this over the weekend about the murder:

TwoPlusTwo member Loctus, who lives in Sweden, commented, “Police [have] been talking on the radio about it saying that it’s quite probably [something] from his past that has caught up to him in this unfortunate way.” Many members lamented at the news and expressed their deepest condolences to his family. On the future of the investigation into Oscarsson’s death, Bluff reported, “As of now, there are no further details except that police are uncertain of the exact motive, but reports emanating from Sweden suggest ‘concrete threats‘ were made towards Oscarsson, according to friends and colleagues in Stockholm and Gothenburg.”
This story is sure to unravel in the coming days, and Buzzy will be right on the top of things as always.

I still can't believe this. Andreas was a class act who I had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with on a number of occasions. My thoughts and prayers continue to be with his family.

    Very sad.

very scary stuff. And of course yes, thoughts and prayers to his family (I should have said this first but was just a gut reaction to say this is very scary.

I'm not too sure how much credit I give the NY Post. While living in NY, I read the Post more for entertainment value rather than news. Anything out in the Times?
