I was in Phuket for the week on family holiday. We met up with my fiance's mum, step dad and sister who flew over from South Africa to meet us. Lots of fun but far too short

Very nice - it goes without saying but I hope you ate plenty of thai food and drank plenty of singha!

We're actually off to a very nice thai restaurant (Patara in soho if any one's looking for a good thai place during the LAC) tonight for my brothers gf's bday - not quite the same as being there, but as close as we'll get for a while.

I did eat plenty of Thai food, but I have to say I got sick of it after a couple of days. I did try Indian food for the first time in my life at a little place on the beach called Dubai, which I thought was fantastic.

Regarding the beer.. Well we had a big night out where we saw an "international table tennis tournament" (which was very disappointing) and drank a LOT of beer followed by a few buckets and ended up at some swedish nightclub for tourists only, followed by drunken singing on the street (and harrasing a lady for a photo who my other half insisted was a ladyboy, but she was not) where a cart on the side of the road had a dude playing his guitar. It did not end well at all I am sorry to say
