An Overview of the Upcoming Changes in UK Gaming Licensing & Tax Regulation

Latest conference video from LAC http://www.igbaffiliate.com/resource...tax-regulation

Session Title: An Overview of the Upcoming Changes in UK Gaming Licensing & Tax Regulation

Session Description: The UK’s gambling laws are set to change, enabling the government to tax gaming firms located overseas. It has recently been announced that all gambling operators offering bets to customers in the UK will be required to hold a UK license irrespective of where they are based. The changes are designed to stop offshore operators having an unfair advantage over UK-based competitors – which have to deal with a 15% gross profits tax, on top of corporation tax and VAT – as well as to provide increased protection for British customers gambling online. So, what do these changes mean for offshore operators and affiliates? When are these changes due to be implemented? And how can the UK prepare for the changing legislation?

Speaker: Peter Wilson, Partner, Memery Crystal LLP & Steven Donoughue, Gambling Consultant
