PartyPartners will deduct bonuses from revenues

    Received today via PartyPartners newsletter:

As you know, we’ve been working hard to create a great loyalty programme to keep your players active and generating increased revenues for you. You will be aware that, as a gesture of goodwill, we have not to date deducted the costs of providing the loyalty programme from your MGR as we wanted to ensure that we got it absolutely right before passing on any expense to you.

After the success of the program, we now feel it appropriate to start making these deductions from your revenue. Costs incurred, henceforth , will be deducted from your revenue in line with our terms and conditions” We deduct from this: (i) redeems including the cost of “credits”, “bonuses” or other promotional amounts given to Players by us including but not limited to, any Sign Up Bonuses;” No back dated costs would be deducted from your revenue. If you have any questions, please contact your account manager or write to affiliates@partypartners.com

Before passing judgement on these guys it's important to know how they are calculating their GGR.

Are they calculating the bonuses credited as a deposit which will artificially increase the net revenue which your commission is based?

Let's say a player deposits and loses €100. The casino gives a player loyalty bonus of €50.

The player then loses the €50. Are they calculating the revenue of €150? €100 (which it should be) or are they deducting the €50 player loyalty bonus directly from the affiliates commissions? If the affiliate was earning a straight 30% then that would mean the affiliate would actually have a -€20 or a €0 balance depending on how they plan on calculating the affiliate revenue. (€100x30%-€50=-€20 or €150x30%-€50), when there was a net revenue of €100.

In all probability that's not the case. It's most likely that they are trying to approximate a true revenue share and not have to carry the expense of the loyalty program exclusively at their expense. They can not remove the loyalty

The problem is that the email you received is not clear of the mechanics of how they are changing their revenue share calculations.

    PartyPartners should clarify.
