Passing an Affiliates Player to a sister casino

I was just on another forum ... mostly for players and saw that there was a thread about 888 passing a player from there to a sister casino Casino-On-Net.com. They actually opened an account for him without asking, complete with username password and free spins. I haven't signed up 888 yet. that is why I am posting. I have a question for the 888 affiliate manager (who I would "might" like to meet) and the forum in general.
1- Rachel (you were on that forum as a 888 rep) Would the player stay with the affiliate?
2- Forum... what casino groups should I stay away from that pass affiliate players to sister casinos and do not keep the affiliate?

    live,

The best thing to do is read as much as you can here about what groups to poromote and which ones are the most problematic and should be avoided.

Also do some research at the GIA, GAP, APCW and AGD.

This is something that is asked so frequently that you should be aware there will be times when some of the threads are quite a few years old so always keep that in mind when making your decisions.

Also, this thread really doesn't meet the criteria to stay in the Industry Buzz forum and will therefore be moved to a more appropriate forum.

    Bytheway, welcome to the GPWA.

If you search the forums for the terms 'cross promotion' or 'shaving' you will find a lot of useful info

Whatever you do please please stay clear of Bewinners and Europartners. That advice alone is priceless.

Some casinos will cross promote that play to other casinos and they will be still tagged to you, some will not. It differs from affiliate program to affiliate program.

I have a feeling 888 when 888 markets players they do it in an a way that keeps them within their operations. I am pretty sure (not certain) that they do indeed tag the affiliate to the player even if they switch to a sister casino. Based on my 888 account I think this is the case, but of course its wise to check with you affiliate manager first hand.

888 has come along way from the early days and they have been one of the best "marketing" programs IMO for their products.

If they see players with inactivity for some time rather then let them sit there and do nothing they try and get them to play on their other sister programs.

This has to be good for the affiliate if indeed the tag the player.

What i will do is is ask my AM - she is super cool and answers all my questions right away. The only thing is they are in Israel right now so may have to wait on answer till Sunday.

I will post what i find out - but my gut tells me they do track the player.

What it Lookes Like From Here

GFPC could be right... 888 de cool!

I also see that there are a few recommendations for
    Interop and Paddypower affiliate groups.

So what it looks like from here is:
    Interops is good to go.
    PaddyPower as fine
    Ladbrokes... iffy but doable
    888... now ok
Unibet is cool in my opinion... haven't bumped into a GPWA comment in them yet.
William Hill good to go. I have alreday joined with them and given them a good position.
Victor Chandler ok (few comments on posts)
Afiliatelounge (Betsson group)... was banned from GPWA two years ago for terms changing. I remember reading about them when I first joined GPWA 2 yrs ago. Did everyone know that they bought Betsafe... so how is a betsafe affiliate reacting to that???? Are some older members still working with Betsson????

There is a lot of info here at GPWA on affiliate programs integrity, some fresh some old. As Universal pointed out, these threads can go back a long way. Fresh input is always a good thing. And some programs can be good for some and not for others (from a conversion viewpoint) But all in all it is what you are promoting and to whom that will decide which affiliate program is the best, as long as they are trying to be a clean program.

I thank you all... I hope to be of use in my posts as well as I can.
Have a good weekend! Sun is out here in CR. "Pura Vida"
