    Percentage of no deposit conversion

Sorry if this has been covered, i wanted to get an idea from other affiliates as to what percentage of sign ups to no deposit bonuses actually convert to real players, i am currently seeing a real mix, as my no deposit site has started to see some real traffic lately, here are a few of the numbers i am seeing since the start of this month nov 1st -
spin palace mobile - 101 sign ups - 1 convert
club gold casino - 13 sign ups - 1 convert
    mr green - 24 sign ups - 0 convert
casino del rio - 12 sign ups - 0 convert
    supercasinocom - 19 sign ups - 2 converts

i have been told the key to a no deposit site is numbers, lots and lots of numbers, but if you take the spin palace percentage above, i would need around 1000 signs a day to be profitable, any of you guys/girls have a casino that converts no deposit sign ups well?
    cheers

The best one I ever had work for me is now gone and that was Silver Dollar.

A few of the Rivals did ok for a while when they were new but that passed quickly.

The property that shows the most promise for me now with a no deposit offer is High Noon.

They are part of Affiliate Edge (sub-affiliate link provided upon request) use RTG software and have some pretty good retention. Martyn is extremly responsive to affiliates needs and contact with him here at the forum is as simple as throwing a pm his way.

I'm not going to sugar coat it. Even though we offer a "no deposit bonus" I don't like them. I've got mixed feeling about them. From my experience "no deposit bonuses" are going to perform differently based on the context of the website. Let's say the site is dedicated to "no deposit bonuses". You are going to attract players who have no intention of depositing their own funds. They want a free deposit (which they receive) and sometimes cash out big. Any "free" offering are going to attract high visitor numbers and low revenue.

If you target "free" your visitors numbers are higher. Google is now accounting website visitor performance in their ranking algorythym. This is good for your site and the casino brands. Everyone likes high visitor stats. You could get a whale, but unlikely. You mentioned ranges from 25:1 to 101:1 (Sign Ups to Convert). Sites that cater to "free" or "no deposit" are going to see 100 (or more.. even much, much more) sign ups to a depositor (typically low player value). On the contrary, websites who cater to other niches typically see much better conversions with the no deposit bonus.

BTW, I like your site. It looks clean and newsworthy.

Totally agree with Adrian, no deposit bonus attracts the wrong type of players. Generally once players convert they are the sort that will try spend hours with support stuff digging for bonuses or fighting with them for bonuses they are not eligible for. Dont get me wrong we have had a few no deposits that did convert into quite good players, but depends on the site's / forums target audience.

Finally also wanted to mention 1 thing mostly applicable for Net Ent casinos, too many no-deposit bonuses / players just signing up for the bonus will result in very high payout.

I think if you have a site with good content, with serious casino players, and your traffic comes from a wide variety of sources, then a no-deposit bonus is not a bad thing. In my experience, if all things are equal, then a no-deposit-bonus will result in higher conversion rates from click-to-registration. However, it's then up to the casino team to convert these leads into depositors. Of course, if your site is optimized for "free" traffic or "no deposit bonuses", as Adrian said, you're going to have low conversion rates regardless.

It's like Groupon, for example. If you give away a discount at Groupon, you're going to get very low retention, because Groupon users are generally just looking to skim the the discounts and move on. Does this mean giving away coupons or free product trial is bad as a whole? Of course not.

Excellent advice from all of you, i can see the theme here and when i think about it now, you guys are spot on, i have a site that caters solely for no deposits and conversions are pretty rare, but i have another site that is mainly for deposit bonuses with a few no deposit offers and a few of these have actually converted ok,
also at Mizzm - "Finally also wanted to mention 1 thing mostly applicable for Net Ent casinos, too many no-deposit bonuses / players just signing up for the bonus will result in very high payout." sorry, i dont quite understand what you mean, can you explain a little more? is there something about net ent casinos that i dont know? cheers

    Hi itsblitz,
Net Ent personally is one of the best software out there for flash casinos, players and casinos alike love their software and it converts very well, yielding very good profit for both parties. But since payout for net ent is very high giving too many no-deposit bonuses will yield in quite less profit for the affiliate at the end of the month. Personally I give more deposit bonuses then no deposit bonus. I would like to hear from casinos how no deposit bonuses goes for their affiliates.

    Itsblitz,

Although I do not currently work with Adrian, I can say that giving his group a try would likely also be recommended.... and I am sure he would try and help get the best out of any offers you tried on your pages....

I started as a no deposit player and find these comments offensive

Numbers are key, I am a firm beliver that if you get the software installed on a computer, you got more than half the battle won. Once they see they can actually win at online casinos its obviously faster to play somthing already installed.

I've found that doing a month of promoting no deposit offers and then a month of not promoting them works best, for me anyways! You get all the bonus chasers out the way and the next month the real depositors come back.

Half the battle? That would suggest 50% conversion rate - and that's not what I've found.

I've found that 90% of the battle is getting that FIRST deposit done.
So I like promos that offer a good bonus for a small deposit .... eg deposit $5 and get $25 free.
You need somethin to get the player to get past the "scary" money part
