Playtech in talks with U.S. partners

Online gambling software giant Playtech is holding talks with a number of potential partners in the United States, according to CEO Mor Weizer.

    From Reuters:

"We have lots of potential customers that approached us or that we approached that would like to have us as their suppliers of online gaming products when the market opens up," Weizer told Reuters in an interview on Tuesday.

"There is a lot of work being done behind the scenes in various states by various local authorities. We have people on the ground now in the U.S. working with us in order to monitor all these processes," Weizer added.

Good news. Hope there is some progress soon.

Playtech has a bunch of quality casino sites for long and was in the U.S.A. marketing some years ago. Maybe now is the time for them to come back.

I think we see this. The best way for future USA online casinos is cooperation with big gambling software providers like Playtech, Microgaming, RTG e.t.c. Sorry for my English.

There will be partnerships with current online software providers, but I think we will see the land based game operators with their own software as well. Glad to see things moving forward.

I think it can be Playtech and other not so widespread sw providers.

    About MGM there are doubts.

Good times ahead for both business owners and gamblers in the US. Do you think Playtech will be able to cover the demand when the floodgates open? I agree with EugeneK, other less famous software providers will also get their piece of the pie.

I think WMS are going to surprise a few people and blow a lot of providers out of the water. The offline recognition they have in the US will give them a real edge if they play their cards right.

Good news indeed! Hopefully it's a matter of when and not "if" internet gambling will be legalized in the U.S. Something must be brewing in the pipeline otherwise Playtech will not go through all the trouble in pursuit of U.S partners.
