I just reinstalled River Belle and it is not going to work out.

the new software is a nonstarter!! I can't have a casino that completely covers my desktop!! I can't even see the taskbar. Since RB et al have it, that means all of them will have it!!

Dealing with this issue will be a super aggravation for anyone playing. No matter when I choose to play, there will always be something else going on where I need access to my desktop.

Who at MGS came up with this bright idea?? Sure it's nice to have new features, but not at the cost of convenience. This comp belongs to me, not MGS, and they don't have the right to try to control it's use!!

I'd tell them myself, but they don't have any access point!!

I have a feeling what you are experiencing is an isolated issue..

If you wouldn't mind sending me through some screen shots and the size of your monitor/resolution etc, I would be happy to chase it up for you...

I've already uninstalled RB, so I can't give you a screen. I may download GC, and see what happens there.

Let me know when you've installed the new RB software, and what you find.

Perhaps this is not the same problem but I could have sworn that I noticed that MG's start off in full desk top mode on the initial launch.

You then reduce the size by clicking the middle box (actually a double box) in the top right corner.

After that they always launch in the correct size.

Ok, I don't know why RB is acting so whacky on my comp, but I downloaded GC from the site, and it works fine.

I'll go back to RB site and download again to see if this happens again!

It's official!!

I re-downloaded River Belle casino from their website, and it still will not allow me to reduce the screen!!

GC is fine and has the new features RB has, but the screen size is manageable.

I don't know what the prob is with RB, but it can't be my comp, since the others are working just fine.

So find out what's going on, please, and let me know!!

Until this changes, I won't have RB on my comp.

I did see a bigger screen size but it doesn't take up my whole screen... so I contacted MGS to see what was going on and it seems Riverbelle is Beta Testing the latests MGS update.

The features of this update are:
- The casino player can have 5 'tabs' open at once
- These 5 'tabs' can include banking or the casino lobby as well as any games
- The casino has changed to a bigger resolution, namely 1024 X 768

It could simply be that your default resolution and the new casino resolution are conflicting.

If you could check your settings and perhaps email me (shane@referback.com) a screen shot I will pass it on to MGS asap!

I can confirm that it takes up the entire desktop in an intrusive way. However, I can shrink it.

I dont like it shrunk LOL.

I like it fit to my desktop with my bars in place to access easily. The way Riverbelle is I have two choices. Whole screen or shrunk. Not good.

Thanks for checking up on this.

I don't have that big a screen on my laptop, which I'm on most of the time. I'm inclined to think that it's the same for most ppl. In fact, the trend is to go to smaller, more portable devices, rather than larger ones. Sitting on the couch, in a chair or in bed is where most ppl prefer to do their browsing, no sitting at a desk.

Tell them not to throw out the baby just yet, although the new enhancements are ok.

Incidentally, GC also has enhancements, but w/o the resolution probs that RB has. I like it much better, has more games than RB, so I've switched to them instead.

Something to consider moving forward.

Hi Shane,

I'm not a fan of the enlarged (stretched) game screens. Everything is blurry now -- no longer razor sharp like it used to be. It looks like crap now, to be frank.

Also, where are the new games for December? Is it true that Microgaming isn't going to allow US players to access the new games anymore? If so, what's up with that?!? </derail>
