    Poker Tracking Software

    Hello!

I’d like to ask what do you think about all these poker play software (HUD)? I mean do you rate rooms by compatibility with such programs?

It’s double edged.. Many players won't play if you not allow them to use it, but others prefer rooms where this soft is forbidden, because no one will have any advantage..

Personally, I don't see a problem with using such software. It's an add-on analysis tool, and you still need to be adept in the game, in order to use such software effectively. This software doesn't "automatically" give one an advantage.

Yes, a big number of online poker players are using poker play software because they feel more easy to play with it. Due to this Most of the sites allow them to take help of these software.

I prefer to play cash games at sites that they don't work on. I also read an article that Microgaming is shutting down compatibility with them in an attempt to capture more casual players.

It is now almost a necessity to use them when playing cash games on Stars and Tilt. Personally, I feel it to be a form of cheating, if they are used to help you plug leaks in your game that is fine, but the data mining of players gives the users a huge edge on the competition.

I believe it does give you advantage; because you can operate much more statistic information than if you'd pay with your head only. But if you know that most of other players use it then you automatically are forced to either also use it or to accept their advantage.

As Chips said, the operators are looking into new ways of preventing the usages of HUD. Since it mostly help the more adept poker players so that they will get a even bigger advantage over the recreational player.

And since some networks (Ongame) put a fine on sites that have net winners more and more operators want to reduce the professional players that drain the system of money and focus on the casual players.
