    Pop-ups and Page Rank

My site used to have a page rank of four a couple of days ago. My traffic and number of outside sites linking in has continued to increase, however my page rank is now a 2.
Does the Pop-up that I added to my site subtract from my page rank?

I believe Google is dancing, or getting ready to, which is probably why your PR changed - and it may not be permanent.

Google doesn't really dance anymore, its more of a constant shift now a days. The SERPs are changing every few days.

However, google still only updates PR once every month or so, so that hasn't changed.

But, many people have noticed significant drops in PR and it is generally believed that Google has modified their algorithm as well as their updating methods.

I think you might find this document very useful. It basically has the algorithm used to calculate PR.

I have a page rank of 3 and I kinda stopped working on gamblingcrazy.biz and started working on my new site gamblinginfocenter.com. I was wondering since I have a com and a biz wouldn't it be easier to get a better ranking on a dot com? Of course Google has me sooooooooooooooo confused but I keep on going. Thank God you people are so great and help us new site owners.
    Thanks !!!!

Hey Wes nice site! I've seen you advertise at College Humour a number of times, how's that working for you?

Collegehumor is working well. I have helped a couple of the original creators with their sites in the past so I get a pretty good deal from them. I also tried advertising on a couple internet radio stations, 96 rock and 96.7 the buzz, but havent had much success with them. Only a couple hundred hits.

Good to hear Wes, are you familiar with orsm? I'm starting a new game site with him (going to be at orsmgames.net) and we're going to have a great top sites list, love to see you there!
