Default Ref's call in NFL game doesn't affect outcome of game, but does affect bets

Buzzy was watching this game, and the first thing he thought was "I bet this ref just blew a call that cost a lot of people a lot of money."

On the final play of the Steelers/Chargers game, Pittsburgh recovered a fumble and scored a touchdown to increase the lead from 11-10 to 17-10. The referee incorrectly called that the fumble had come on a forward pass, and that since the clock had expired on the play, the game was over the instant it happened and nullified the touchdown.

Since it didnt' affect who won and lost, the players/coaches didn't really care. But you can bet that hundreds, if not thousands of Steelers fans in the building were none too pleased about it, since the line on the game was Steelers -4!
