    Default SEO and Affiliates Links

    Hi,

I have a new website http://nodepositbonuses777.co.uk/ but I need someone who help me with SEO tips. Should I include the affilliates links now or after the website y well ranked on google? Im asking because I read that without the affilate links it should rank faster... Is this true?

    Thanks,

    Victor V.

Someone probably came to that conclusion after hearing that Google doesn't like affiliate sites too much But yeah, I never heard about something like that before.

Having affiliate links (or any external link) will pass some of your page rank so in theory your pages will have less strength, so won't rank as well.

The main thing about not having affiliate links straight away is that is easier to get people to link to you if you are not monetising things. In your case though, its not worth hiding as its blatantly an affiliate site.

You have loads more to worry about though. There's the sandbox 2.0 and Panda to contend with. Plus if you ever got manually reviewed your site would probably get labeled as "thin content"

Thin content with little or no added value

Site appears to consist of low-quality or shallow pages which do not provide users with much added value (such as thin affiliate pages, doorway pages, cookie-cutter sites, automatically generated content or copied content).

Don't think you need to worry about this now. Focus on building the site and content. You're not going to get ranked anyway for a while(unless you have some tricks up your sleeve or are very lucky), you can add affiliate links when you see you're getting traffic.

Advice...the big paragraph you have in quotes on the home page. I'd be surprised if anyone ever reads it. Too much text in one big block will never get read...and it might even be that a spider could see it and know it was unreadable and drop the page accordingly.

Consider breaking it up to make it more readable.

    Website looks good.

chaumi is right about the text in quotes on a home page. About the links... I use Pretty Link plugin for WP, to make links look like: http://nodepositbonuses777.co.uk/go/casino-tropez/ I believe clickthrough rate is higher for such links.

    Played with your header image/logo:

    I chaumi

I added the big paragraph because I read that a homepage must have a lot a text in order to get well ranked in Google... Do you recommend me to delete it?

Ah, you should add text that your visitors will want to read. Not just because it will help with SEO, but because it's important in describing what your page (any page) is all about. Pages can rank without much text too. Just put any search term in Google and look through the first 20 pages and you will get a feeling for how much.

But the point with your paragraph is it is one big block of text. You need to break it down into individual smaller paragraphs. when people read stuff online they tend to scan it rather than read - your paragraph would put anyone off even scanning and they would just ignore it.

You can use thirstyaffiliate wordpress plugin, to hide your affiliates links.

lots of text is definitely good for onpage seo guys, i have tried this many times and it can definitely be a factor as long as its not completely spammy of course.

when you start an affiliate website you want to rank for the keywords that only sites use that have affiliate links on their website. I donīt think that it makes a difference if you use affiliate links from the start or not. What definitely could cause a problem is when you use too much of them. Depending on the amount of content but I think 2-3 affiliate links per site is absolutely ok.

make sure your links are nofollow and it shouldn't make a difference

I think you will have bigger issues ranking with this website, rather than to worry about if you should add aff. links. And try to make them nice with some script or whatever do not use the entire links, since you might damage the the operators(they will kick you before that though)

no follow is important further try to add enough text on the pages with affiliate links at least 300 just to give the page quality. The worst thing you can do is to use pages with less content and much affiliate links. Try to keep a good balance of text and links or content an links.
